Any word from LF as to updating FF? Will the toolbars keep working?

I just downloaded it and the toolbar works but two other add-ons are not compatible. I'm sure we'll be hearing from LF soon.

Two of the addins are not compatible. If you have already upgraded to FF 3.5, you will need to revert back to an older version.

I have found that if I do a system restore BACK to the older version it is fairly painless. There was a warning about the compatibility when I was going to upgrade yesterday.

LF and Ghave been very good about upgrades so far. I'm certain they will be on it! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I did the same thing, i.e. downloaded/installed the FF 3.5 upgrade only to find out the installed add-ons no longer worked. Doing a system restore is one way to go back, but it's just as easy to go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html and get back FF 3.0. Took me only a minute and all settings were as before, add-ons working properly with no need to reinstall them.

That's Cool! My Firefox had been acting very poorly and crashing a lot, so I ended up starting a "new" profile and reinstalling the toolbars and addins.

It seems to be working much nicer now.

Y'know, now that you mention it, you're right! I'd been having a lot of trouble too with FF crashing all the time and being super buggy, but since I reinstalled it I now realize it hasn't crashed in over a day! Cool is right! smileys/smiley4.gif

I found out that if I "snooped" in the little "report" that goes back to FireFox when it crashes before it is sent, that I could find out which of the add-ons caused the crash!!!

I figured this out quite by accident while playing around with it yesterday. I really got "under the hood" so to speak and really tore into it. It was significantly affecting my productivity, and I don't care for that sort of result. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Are any LF raters successfully using FF 3.5? I keep getting a popup saying I need to update a LF add-on. I have updated it several times, but it doesn't seem to "take". I keep getting the message that I have to install it. Also, the instructions for the add-on say that 3.5 is advised.
This is the second update that has done this to me. I haven't wanted to upgrade yet, because I thought LF wasn't fully compatible with 3.5.

Not that I know of yet. I also got a message to upgrade an addon, and did so. I didn't see anything about upgrading to FF3.5. However I have the "automatic" checking for upgrades disabled because of the incompatibility issue.

That being said, to look to see if the upgrade actually needs to be installed:

Tools --> Downloads

Look to see if it is hiding in there waiting to be installed.

Then go to Tools --> Addons --> Extensions

and see if it is listed there.

Yes, it's listed under Extensions. I still get a message saying that I need to update every time I log in, but at least it doesn't prevent me from using the hub now like it did before. I guess I will just have to ignore it.

Just got to love those little "undocumented features".http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

They will likely send a fix for that.
