Hi Sensaria girls! I am looking at the different self tanners. I've tried them all I think- ours in BeautiControl, Mary Kay, Este Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Arbonne, Lancome and some of the cheaper ones like L'Oreal bronzer! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifBut I haven't tried yours. how do you ladies like it? Does it have a smell? What makes yours special, I noticed it is kind of pricey.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

Here are my complaints about almost all of them:

They smell terrible and some of them- the Arbonne spray onone in particular- totally dry out my skin and make it itch. The BC one turns my skin orange. Would you care to share your experiences with yours?Edited by: redbird

Hi Redbird,
I actually really like ours. It agree that it can be hard finding a good one. I'm naturally very pale and it tans me gradually with no orange coloring. It takes several hours for the tan to develop. It doesn't stink either -ladies always want to smell my tester bottle and are surprized that it smells so nice. I have sensative skin and have never had any problems with it but here's the bad news...
This is the last month Sensaria will be offering our Radianyce Self-Tanner. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley24.gif I know I haven't sold too many myself, maybe because of the price- I don't know. Apparently it has not been a top seller for anyone and it is one of 4 items on the drop list. I am also sad to see our line dimisher going butat the same time I'm excited to see what our new product offerings will bewhen they announce them (and give them to ushttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif) at convention in just a couple weeks.
The only plus side I guess is that any leftover tanner available should go up onthe discontinued outlet on our websites Aug 1st.
So there's my experience with the self-tanner. I hope your BC business is bringing you much success this summer! Happy spa'ing!

Amanda

Thanks AManda, I have another question. What is your policy on recruiting family members who live in the same residence? For instance a mother with daughter who lives at home or 2 sisters etc.

Sure! I hope this is a little clearer than mud. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
In our policy manual it states : RECRUITING POLICY
Stacking newly recruited Representatives is strictly prohibited. The term “stacking” includes any or all of the following:
1. Violating the one-business-per-household rule
2. Enrolling fictitious individuals or entities
3. Placing a recruit. Placement of a recruit by a Representative other than directly to that same Representative is strictly prohibited. The name appearing on the Sensaria Representative Agreement must be the name of the Representative who originated/presented the Sensaria business opportunity.
Stacking for the purpose of falsely obtaining company incentives, promoting to or maintaining title requirements, is strictly prohibited.

**With that said I have talked to home office about this situation and there have been a few special situations where they have allowed exceptions. Example two sisters living in the same home while one sister was off from college for a couple months but both wanted to actively work the business. Or when a mom who lived in a downstairsresidence wanted to join. She had a sperate address but was still in the same "house" they made an exception.
Theyhave shared that in general theyhold to the policy as written. They don't want me signing up my husband and all my kids just to try and gain some recruiting incentive. That's not fair to anyone. My sisteris actuallyon my team (joined after being a happy hostess for 3 years), then her husband had to move for a joband she needed to stay with me for a few months till her contract as a teacher ran out... so there were two businesses under one roof for a few months butthen she was off to Florida (miss her!). So if someone did have a situation like this it would be good to run it through home office to get clearance before submitting a new rep agreement for someone living in the same primary residence. THanks for explaining your policy. It makes a lot of sense.

I am bummed about the Self Tanner being discontinued too. I bought an extra one before they sell out. Like Amanda it is a really good self tanner. I don't know if it is because it is hard to demo at a party (results aren't instant and you have to wash your hands after like any self-tanner) but maybe that is why it didn't sell. The price is probably an issue too but it is pretty much in line with other higher end department store products. At least ... last I checked!

You only use a small amount so it really lasts a long time for me. It's too bad it didn't go over well. I have an article on applying the tanner if that helps at all:

I agree that this is a good one! I've tried all kinds of self tanners too. . .

Like Monica & Amanda said its all about how you put it on (and its the same for everyone's tanner). I exfoiliate & then use my regular lotion. Then I use the self tanner. It comes out perfect every time. If I'm in a hurry, I mix a bit of my regular lotion in with the self tanner before I apply.

My biggest tip is don't forget to wash your forearms! I do and have had some funny looking tans this summer!!!
