I wonderhow many of us take he time to appreciate what we do. Not just in
this WAHM business, but generally also?

We have just completed Phase I of our Taste Of Home Entertaining business
launch, and I am in need of some pampering. I am tired. Wrung out, and
need to recouperate...And get ready for Phase II...

I am having a facial and massage this week. So what do YOU do to reward
yourself?

Well, I don't generally reward myself. I always feel guilty about buying things or treating myself to monetary things. I know I shouldn't but I do. But, I do reward myself in other ways. Some nights I refuse to do business calls or sit at this computer away from hubby and son. I make sure that I spend the whole evening in their with them with no distractions. Going to Wal-Mart to just walk around with them is fun to me or going to dinner while we are out. Nothing spectacular, just Applebees or even Mc Donalds.

The last thing I spent money on just for myself was my birthday in November. Hubby asked what I wanted and I told him I wanted something spectacular done to my hair to make me feel a little better about myself. He said "go do it and when you get through go buy yourself an outfit" so I did. I spent $100 on my hair cut and color, but it was GORGEOUS for a couple months, lol and then I spent another $100 on 2 pairs of jeans and 3 tops at Cato's.

Now, my husband rewards me all the time with things. If we are walking around somewhere and he sees me eye an outfit or a top or something and we have the money, he won't quit til he gets me to buy it. So I guess those little rewards and the time with them is better to me than giving myself a "treat" on a regular basis. I get enough of them from him and my baby boy.

I believe in rewarding myself! After our huge January double hostess dollar month, I had a foot massage, and a day at the salon. (I booked a party there too! smileys/smiley2.gif)

This month, it was Double Trip Points for our incentive trip, so I kicked it up a notch. I'm already thinking about something to do for myself. I always set a little "Pampering Goal", because it helps me look forward to something when the month is over. (Also rejuvenates me for the next month)

We work hard! We deserve a little fun for ourselves. I think I'll reward myself with something "Brighton." I'm so addicted to that cute stuff!

I try to remember to reward myself with little things. It doesn't have to be something that I spend money on though. It could just be some extra time in bed with a good book, a nice bath, or an evening out for dinner with my girlfriends. The little things add up and make me feel SO rewarded! :)

I have learned we have to reward ourselves - or at least take good care of ourselves to be productive in the long run -

I do a massage from time to time

Spend a weekend with just my kids to play (they are teenagers and older so a different kind of play - LOL

Spend a weekend with just my hubby once in a while

Have a girls day out once in a while

Sleep in once in a while

Make myself something special (comfort food)

Buy myself a little present from AVON once in a while when I meet a goal

Just a few ideas......but to keep your energy and sanity it is essential to care for yourself - (plus it really feels good smileys/smiley2.gif)

Have a great week - and thanks for bringing this up - helps remind us

Why is mom always the last to be taken care of? Because we're too busy taking care of everyone else...

And why is it that moms tend to feel guilty when they do a little something for mom? Oh trust me ... I'm not preaching cause I'm just as guilty as the next but really ...

I seen a signature line of a good friend of mine Val (aka ScrapVal) that says:

"How can you take care of them? If you don't take care of you first?"

She is SO right! smileys/smiley32.gif

Take care,
