I am completely ignorant to making both of these, but have a great interest and a strong newfound market.
Are there better manufacturers or wholesalers? Best equipment, etc? Molds?
I would appreciate any input. If this is a duplicate of someone's post, please direct me to the information.
TIA

Hi! I'm just getting started with candles, and hope to expand to bath products later this year. A great resource I've found is Bitter Creek (North) (http://www.candlesupply.com/). They have everything you need at competitive prices, and come highly recommended. I plan on ordering from them (I haven't yet) soon and will probably post. Good luck!

I use bittercreek north, Wholesale Supplies Plus (http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com), and Candles & Supplies (http://www.candlesandsupplies.com).
I get my wax and oils from candles and supplies, becouse they have great prices on the oils and they are the only company that sells the wax I like. My jars and lids come from Wholesale Supplies plus, cause the pricing is great and the shipping is low. Everything else I get at bittercreek. Their pricing is good, but for heavy items like wax and jars, the shipping is very steep IMO. Hope this helps! smileys/smiley2.gif

Thanks for the help. I will check them out today. I have been readingmore onmaking them both and think it might be easier to just have them made! There are so many choices. As an uneducated buyer, I am concerned I will spend too much in trial/error product combinations. Do these places offer guidance of some sort?.... the best wax and why and what oils work best, etc.

To cut down on some of the trial and error, you might want to start out with a kit. I know a lady that sells soy candles that are really good, and she has some different kits put together on her website. Each kit also comes with an instructional video. After you learn how to do it, then you would know exactly what to buy from then on.smileys/smiley2.gif If you are interested, PM me and I will send you her address. I am also working on my website to sell my candles. (One day I will finish it, LOL) I will be selling in bulk if you are interested in just buying them instead of making them. If you are wanting to go with pure soy candles instead, I know of a really good supplier, great prices & great candles.
