I just wanted to check in with you guys to find out what you were up to :) I had an amazing call with Rebecca that really got me going... thank you Rebecca :)

I know reunion is coming up... are you going? I'm TRYING! I'm hoping there are still spots available when I can afford to pay for it! I'm going on my first vacation in 4 years! WOO HOO! So that is taking my "cash priority" right now.

Congrats to Rebecca on Baby No. 4! You'll catch up with me in no time :) I have 5!

And.... I'm wondering what you are doing to get your bookings?
I like to hear from lots of folks on what they do, so feel free to chime in. We are eating like crazy, at dinner time, my kids ask "what bucket are we using tonight Mom".

So... I'm going on Vacation... I would like to know from you some great ideas for spreading my business out.

I live in TX, work in LA, and will be going to TN and NC for vacation this year. Give me some hints :)

Have a blessed day!

Shannon

Hi Diane,

I am in East Texas right near Shreveport in a small town called De Berry. I just reread my post and realized how ADD I sounded LOL. I could tell I hadn't taken my medicine.

Do you have any tips for what to do to promote your business on vacation?

Thanks,

Shannon

You are too cute Shannon!

One way I promote while on vacation is when out and about - I inquire with desk clerks, restaurant waitresses, etc. and ask, "I have a great home-based business which shows women how to make simple meals. Do you know if there are events or opportunities in this area in which women may be interested in starting this business?"

Sometimes, they give a craft show lead...Otherwise, they will be more curious and ask you more questions. That is whe you can share a catalog, business card.
The key is to create a comfortable enough relationship to have the guts to ask them if you can have their email or # so you can follow-up with them (and if you don't want to carry catalogs - that is a GREAT way to say - Hey - I will mail you a catalog and free mix if you like). I always like email too - so just see how the conversation flows. IF they ask more what you do - youc an always follow up with a question to them like, "Well - what dinner time dilemnas do you have?" ...and then after they talk - then you can tell them more about HG. This way - it truly is a way you are trying to share what is important to them and their dinner hour - versus a sales pitch.

Sometimes - THEY may be the one who is looking...but other times they may become a customer, refer a great friend, or perhaps tell you of an event that may lead you to your next vacation.

Those are you just my tips...
I am actually leaving June 30th for vacation in Upper Minnesota (near Grand Rapids)...and I am trying to work on some angles before I leave to find out ways I can network while up there. Calling around for ideas.

Talk soon Shannon! And, I do hope you can join us for Family Reunion! It's a great experience.
