Yes, its a very good way to create income, without much efforts. However its pretty small amount if you dont have many visitors....

I agree. The more visitors you get in, the more revenue you will generate from it. Make sure you Read the Guidelines carefully before you integrate is to any of your websites.

good luck

I have made revenue from adsense ads on my site. However, they're usually very small amounts.

Not only do you need good traffic, you also need to target high-paying keywords.

I think AdSense is great on your site. It doesn't work for all sites, but it doesn't hurt to try it.

You definitely need good traffic to use AdSense effectively. Since it's free, of course it never hurts to have it on there. But you want to make sure you integrate it well if you want to make it revenue generating. There are some sites that are just there for that purpose. But the better ones are those that have reasons for people to keep coming back, like blogs, forums, news sites, etc. Monik is right--make sure you read the policies.

If you have a good hosting package with your web design company that you can buy cheaply for yourself, you can make a specialty site about something, allow comments and RSS feeds or blogging, and see some revenue increases.

There are a lot of tools available, too, that let you see what are high paying keywords, and you can build sites around those.

Google AdSense is an absolutely wonderful way to generate revenue. It can earn you a small income or a large income, it really depends on many aspects. I believe that it is truly a diamond in the rough, and if you learn about it and catch the tricks that can be used, you can use it to make ALOT of money.

There is a wealth of information online devoted to AdSense, and many ebooks available for purchase. If you are serious about using AdSense as a means to generate an income, you must check out the newest edition of Joel Comm's "What Google Never Told You About Making Money With AdSense". (http://tinyurl.com/zjwvc)It is the 3rd edition and it includes many extras, such as personal coaching. He is a genius and reveals all the secrets needed to make enough money with AdSense that you do not need any other revenue stream.

I highly recommend you do not disregard AdSense before you do some serious research on it. It is an extraordinary income generator.

Here's a clever way to go with Google AdSense.

www.getrichwithauctions.com (http://www.getrichwithauctions.com) is a site I just got "out of the box". The Google ads are automatically coded from one entry from me. But also the ebay links to live auctions, the clickbank stuff and everything else is linked directly to my affiliate ID. One time cost, with included hosting and all that.

I like your site, lancer. Has it been profitable, from Adsense?

I like your site, lancer

Thanks for your comments, bluebutterfliiz! I'm glad you took a peek at my site. I just updated it with a new design, and your input is greatly appreciated. It looks a little empty right now... and I hope to complete it soon with more data as it was in the old one...

With regards to adsense, I wouldn't really call it "very profitable." The site has made about $35+ to date since implementing the ads. The thing is, keywords for couponoffers or freebiesdon't really pay much... they only pay about 0.01 to 0.05 per click. I think thehighest clickpay I received was $1.50. But I guess every little thing helps! smileys/smiley2.gifI figured, you might as well put it on... smileys/smiley4.gif

Only thing with adsense is they'll cut you a check if your account reaches the $100 minimum. smileys/smiley19.gif

I plan to build more sites that are adsense-monetized to increase my income potential. I read someone's testimonial, and he said he used to make $3 per month.... but then he created lots of mini-sites (not only one website) and now he earns about $300-$500 per month from all those sites combined. But I'm sure there's more to it than that...smileys/smiley36.gif

Have I screwed up? I just started a new blog, so I just used my adsense account from my other blog to place ads on the new one. I haven't re-read the policies (shame on me). Both sites are completely clean and free of profanity or adult themes, so I should be okay, right? Or should I start a new adsense account for the new blog?

lancer

If I remember correctly, you are only allowed one adsense account, even if you have multiple sites.

By the way, use the adsense channels feature so that you can differentiate which adsense ad is on which site of yours...

Good to know lancer. Thanks. Also, thanks for the info on the channels feature. Actually, I can take the ads off the one blog. That is very low traffic, as it is only for posting my hubby's music schedule. Since he plays locally, only family, friends, and potential gigs look at it. I think it's made around $2 in the year it's been up.smileys/smiley36.gif

How is everyone doing with Adsense?

I joined and I'm using the scripts but I'm getting a little concerned. I did some research and found so many people complaining about kicked off for no reason, being treated unfairly and having their accounts closed without explanation or recourse, etc. Seems any little violation - even unknown - can cause you to be terminated.

I'm kind of worried about putting it all over my site. Iguess I won't lose anything but still, it bugs me. I'd like to know what the real story is.

Just wondering if everyone is still having a positive experience.

Well, I've had adsense up on my sites for almost a year now... so far everything's been positive.

Just make sure you read their Terms of Service to ensure that you comply with their program's policies...

Absolutely try Adsense! :) It's great, and I'm thankful for it. I'm always trying to learn how to optimize it, while still maintaining the look of my site.

Thanks for the responses!

I have to say that I like BidVertiser's ads a little better, they're smaller and little less intrusive. But I'm alternating between the two on different pages. I do like how AdSense generates reports, I can check everyday and see how the different sites are working.

I also tried AdBrite but their ads are huge and ugly, but I like their concept of how you can set pricing for your own sites.

Another benefit of AdSense is that google is constantly spidering your site to make sure they are serving up ads that are related to the content on your page.

Might not make you any $$$ directly this way, but it at least you know you are getting spidered all the time and that could help with organic search results.

I've only made $520ish this year on google adsense. There has to be tips and secrets that people aren't sharing because they don't want others to take their funds. It would be nice if someone doesn't want to share it in public to PM it to those who need it.

To succeed with adsense you need enough traffic and contents.

You need to target your ad to high paying keywords.

Keyword research is also important here.

For high paying keyword you can get $30 per click..

If you need content for your adsense site try the service in my signature.

Yeah I tried that, that's not the advice I'm looking for. I've read all the books ect. I want what people won't tell. And besides the truth I want the secret.

I just read an article about a lot of click fraud cases being charged against Google by their clients and they just had to pay a huge settlement to one. More are anticipated to be coming. Looks like a lot of the big Adsense money makers were having people click on their ads, or clicking their own ads, and that was how they were making the millions. There's also a thing they do where they set up a webpage with nothing but ads so the person coming to it basically has to click on an ad to leave - they don't HAVE to, but say you're searching for info on cats, and you arrive at catinfo.com and there's google/bidvertiser ads all over it. You might assume these are suggested resources so the odds are that you're going to click on something to keep moving.

We'll see how this plays out over time. I know I'm always amazed at people saying they get $10,000 per week or so. smileys/smiley5.gif

I just had to add my two cents - Google Adsense is wonderful. As your sites grow, it really can add to your income. It's my main source of income with my websites - and when I promote my sites more, I see the income go up too.

But, as with anything, it does take time and effort. However, if you already have a lot of visitors to your site, you'll be really pleased with Adsense. It also takes a bit of experimentation -- what style and size to use, what colors, to make it blend with the background or stand out, etc.

Hugs,

Christina
