Hi All:

I had a lot of people join my team this month and last. Getting them going is my primary goal right now. What do you to promote activity? Not necessarily productivity, but activity - doing parties. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Congrats!

I work with my team individually. You need to know what their goals are, and help them break it down into activity to achieve them. Encouragement and believing is important as well.

Set a team goal and ask what part they will take in it.

Encourage party by showing the rewards and benefits.

It will be fun to see what everyone else has to add!

If members are close by offer to do the party with them.

Share with them ways to advertise their new business to be able to book parties.

Help them develop a routine of how they are going to work their business example talk to so many people a day, hand out so many books, hang up so many fliers. Make the goals realistic and achieveable based on what they want out of their business. The ability to keep consistency is key.

I'll second what everyone else has said above and add:

1. Be sure YOU set the example...if you want your team holding parties, you should too. Make their goals seem realistic...If they know you hold 2 (for example) parties per week, they'll see they can too. If youaren't doing parties, they won't either.

2. A little competition is healthy. Team challenges and incentives.

3. Have a "booking blitz" every month...a challenge to get on the phone and parties in 1 hour. Everyone does it on the same day. It's really fun if you team is local, and you hold it at one location. It motivates & challenges.

4. Give praise...even to those who just do a little bit.
