View Full Version : I’m BACK!!!!

OK, I'm getting back into the groove. I came back to a sick little boy, though. smileys/smiley5.gifI thought he was faking to stay home with me from school. But he said he had a good time while we were away. "I missed you, but not tooo much mommy."

I'll insert pictures, and the story I sent my team on the trip below, but:

IF YOU ARE IN LEADERSHIP IN YOUR COMPANY AND THEY OFFER A TRIP, YOU NEED TO EARN IT. If you are starting out, and you want to succeed, you should go for the trip!

Why? To let everyone on your team know you can. When I joined, my upline at the time was a local manager. I had asked her, have you ever gone on a trip? She had not. Now I knew of others who had gone, but the fact that she didn't do it made it seem unattainable. Then due to family reasons, she resigned. I rolled up and my new direct upline went on the trips and would tell me stories that made me drool. Suddenly, it became attainable, and it became a goal.

The first year I went for the trip, I didn't make it. BUT, my business grew in ways it never would have grown. So I didn't make 1st place, but I definately placed and was rewarded. When I went for Cabos, I was ready. I started out with a plan and I stuck to it.

Honestly, I'm not a traveller. And I'd never do things like this on my own. But you know what? Todd and I needed this trip so badly. The stress of life was getting to us, and this brought us back to something we often forget about, US. (I almost took my mom! smileys/smiley36.gif)

Anyway, my point is. Your company offers things for a reason. If you are going for your trip and you want success, trip qualifications should lead you there. And then you'll go other places you never dreamed of going as well.

Thanks for listening! And here is to you all striving for and earning your incentive trip!

WHAT I SENT MY TEAM:

We spent time away from the boys in Paradise!

Well, on the plane ride over, we had horrible turbulence. Then the pilot gets on "I'm sorry folks about the Turbulence. We can't fly above 3,000 feet due to some mechanical problems we knew about when we left the airport. Hold with us." ????? I won't tell you the airline.

So we get to the airport and are standing in line for customs. We are waiting, waiting, waiting in a line. And a lady comes by and starts waving her arms. "This line doesn't exist. Find another line." ???????? So we go the back of another line and wait, and wait, and wait.

Then we get our luggage, and step out into the sun. A person is standing there with the Toyboy logo, waiting for us, to take us to our hotel! No need to hail a cab. They take our baggage and we don't see it again until we go to our room.

So we walk in and are greeted by the site of home office staff and toys. It's a comfy feeling.

We get to our room, open the curtains and step out. We have a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was great. And the food!!!! Discovery Toys paid for all the food and alcohol at the hotel. We frequented the buffet, and I seriously had 3 deserts at every meal the first few days. My tummy had a hard time towards the end. I wasn't hungry!

The first night we had a dinner by the pool, and Jane (the President) gave out 4 Trailblazers! She rented them for the earners to drive on the island! She then announced dinner at a 5 star restaurant, in a limo for some women who had won a contest! They told me afterwards that 5 waiters served on just their group.

The first full day it rained. So we slept in!!! No kids!!! No cooking (OK, I don't do this much anyway, but breakfast! Lox and bagels! French toast! Waffles! Bacon! The buffet was really good. I almost made breakfast this morning). We watched some TV, laid around, walked the hotel, visited with friends. But on our terms. No schedule.

On Valentine's Day, Discovery Toys has a ball, so I got to dress up in a slinky red dress! ohhhhhh! I don't know if any pics turned out, if so I'll get them and forward.

We got to go downtown on Bus 10 and strolled the harbor and the shops. Didn't buy much though. We visited the Pirate Museum which was very interesting.

And on our last full day we rented a scooter! I think Rebecca said to do that. It was awesome! I never felt so free.

Others we know took boat rides, snorkeled, swam with the dolphins and fed sharks. Todd and I are more land lovers. But it was the MOST RELAXING TRIP I've EVER been on!

At night, we got gifts from Home Office including t-shirts, new fall toys, and a really cool coral? bracelet on Valentine's day.

And we SLEPT IN!!!!!! Ok, we stayed up late too, but we got to sleep!

And the friends. It was fun seeing and making new friends.

And in all honesty, I would not have done it if I hadn't earned it. Just like Los Cabos, Mexico last year. I don't do those type of things on my own. (And yes, you can buy in for your children if you want to take them). Todd and I needed this badly, and Discovery Toys gave it to use. That is just so cool!

I can't wait for RIO with you next year! Set your mind to do it now, it's not tooo late!
And go to Convention! Most of the trip earners attended convention last year!

Debbie- What great tips!! I agree with everything you said about having a goal and working towards it!!When TTV announces our Incentive trips - I sit down and figure out exactly what it takes toachieve this goal. One of the requirments forSanta Barbara this year is $10,000 in sales. With that figure in mind-I knew that Iwanted to make at least $2000.00 in sales each month. These number help me to set up a business plan and stick to it because I love FREE vacations smileys/smiley4.gif!!!

Congrats again on making your trip and achieving your goal!!

Love your pictures-looks like you had a great (and relaxing) time.

Cheers!

Welcome back, Debbie!! I loved reading about your experience - and I couldn't agree with you more about earning trips and incentives that your company offers you. It's such a chance, one to set a great example for your team that anything is possible, and two, to take advantage of things you might not otherwise do!

You are a great leader and a great example for us all!!!

Where's the next trip?? smileys/smiley2.gif
