I am so frustrated with craigslist. I am trying really hard to find a wah position to bring home $200+ a week but have been unable to do so, I need a job bad even if it has to be in the workplace. Everytime I apply for something off craigslist I am sent a link where it says to fill out this online application which it clearly isn't. I have been attaching my resume to these initial emails now I wonder who is getting that information and what they are using it for. I didn't realize that craigslist had gotten so bad! I guess it is like craigspimp only for employment. Anyone else seeing this as well? It is frustrating cause there are never any jobs in the paper. Now I don't know what to do. We used to own a business that doesn't exsist but left us with a huge debt with the IRS we are trying to work with them but they aren't leaving us much to live on each month and without me working we wont be even be able to cover the minimums on stuff. Not sure what else to do! If I could just make like $200 a week.....I have applied to like 100+ WAH stuff in the last couple weeks. And just filled out a bunch of stuff for court research. I have kids at home but in the fall they will all go back to school. No babies. Suggestions would be appreciated...I probably posted this in the wrong place. I am sorry

Hi and welcome,
I'm sorry that you're going through such a hard time and are frustrated with Craigslist. I also have gone through quite a bit due to an illness and had to give up my business which I loved (along with many other things).

I know that it's easy to say but hard to actually do--but tryto stay positive and committed. I'm sure something will come along. This forum is full of great people and wonderful resources that are designed to help and empower you in your search for work from home.

Wishing you the best,

Annie

I'm sorry you've been having a hard time with craigslist. Unfortunately, it seems there are a lot of scams posted there.

Maybe you'd have better luck looking at the different work at home companies listed here on the forum, and choosing some to submit applications too?

Good luck in your search and hope you find something very soon.

I feel for you. Craigslist is frustrating! They allow all these creepy and scam ads on there but when you try to post a legitimate opportunity they delete it.

Anyway, there is a post on the first page of this folder that says "New Members Start Here". Try visiting some of the sites in that post.

Hope you find something.

Custom loyal isn't hiring in my state (WV) and ACDDirect I did apply haven't heard anything yet. Also applied to like 100+ others. I would love to find something from home. Saves on daycare as my kids are home for the summer. But it I gotta go back to work then I gotta. Plus my hubby is joining the NG to help our monthly bills out as well so he will be leaving soon and me working at home would be such a blessing.

I understand your frustration with craigslists. Scammers have gotten really good and apparently the $25 fee that craigslist is charging also does not seem to deter them.
It does take time to land a work from home job. Keep checking this forum and others like workplacelikehome and ratracerebellion.
I hope you find something soon.

Craigslist can be very frustrating at times but there are many great, legit work from home opportunities to be found if you have the time to filter out all of the scams. If you're just tired of the headaches from searching craigslist there are some great sites that do some of the searching for you and post the leads for free (see signature).

I know it's easier said than done but have patience and keep applying, eventually you'll find something.

Hi,
I am sorry you are going through this. Craigslist is like searching for gold and you have to sift through a lot of junk to find it. When I am applying for work from home positions I only list my name, email, and phone number. If I am not sure of a company's legitimacy I use a free email account address. I don't give out ssn, tin, address until I see actual paper forms that look more official than a website form.

Applying for court researcher is a great idea. Keep trying and hang in there. Also, when applying for positions think outside the box as best you can. This is a little crazy but I have different resumes depending on what I am applying for. One geared for research, one for sales and one for customer service. I'm big on cover letters to. Here is an old free article on how to write a cover letter for work from home jobs and I've actually had people comment on my cover letters before so I know it works. Scroll down to read. Its the 2nd article.

But not all legit jobs/gigs are even showing on Craigslist. I am trying to hire someone to come into my home and help me get caught up and have posted the ad twice. Each time, it says its posted but isn't showing up on ANY search or on the actualy listing.

The $$$ I am offering wouldn't make anyone rich, but it would definitely help someone out. I post it under Gigs on Craigslist.

I feel your pain with all the post on CL - like someone said in a earlier post, when you try to post something legit, those post get deleted!

I ran across a company that has a weight loss product (which I love the products). You can join for FREE and you do not have to order product to promote them (unless you want).

I ordered several of the products and when I started getting results I shared it with a couple of friends who ordered the product. I received a $25 check for each of their orders.

Here is a website to see what its about if you'd like, and I think they have informational calls too? http://www.HeresTheSkinny.org

Like I said, you do not have to order their products to promote them. They give you a FREE website for joining. It maybe worth a shot for no out of pocket cost to work from home.

I wish you tons of luck... have a wonderfully blessed day.

People scam so much it's ridiculous. There are legit gigs on there though. It will take a lot of time and patience. So be careful. Even if you post an ad yourself in any category, be prepared to be solicited by scammers. Doesn't matter if you post something in the Sales Category, Volunteer Section, General Announcements, and don't even get me started on the Resume posting/Job Wanted section. It's just a mess.

I LOVE CraigsList!!

I support our family with gigs and such I find there

Yes, it takes time to weed thru the garbage but is so worth it - after a while you get to know the wording of the scams and won't waste your time applying - once in a while I apply to a bad ad, not a big deal for me to just delete the email

One hint to cut down on SPAM when placing ads - don't use CL's email (leave it blank) and put your contact information in the body of your ad

Please look at my signature (because I am not allowed to pur link in the post). You can download this tool to search jobs from multiple locations of craigslist. There are thousands and thousands of legit jobs on craigslist. Also look into gigs section.

This tool only works on windows.
