Do you use foot tubs?
I used to use them, but am thinking about stopping. The area I live in now isn't very familiar with BC so they wouldn't know any different.
If you don't use them, what do you do to show special attention to feet? I knowsome people put the foot creme on, baggies, then socks, but that doesn't seem like enough to me. Plus, then they're not getting to experience the foot scrub -which I sometimes used before they put their feet in the tub- or the bath minerals (2 big sellers). I was thinkingabout using the scrub without the tub, then the creme and socks on everyone, but that would probably be quite messy. My other thought was tojust use the foot tub on the hostess.
Your thoughts?
Thanks!

Good question Jennifer!
I was introduced to the foot tubs and loved the experience! My recruiterused the scrub and foot cream butdidn't use the socks; she just mentioned that it was a good idea to wear socks after applying the foot cream.
When I began my spas, I used the tubs only one time. I thought it was a lot of trouble keeping the water hotand time consuming. It takes away from your hospitality time. So, I decided to use the socks and let the guests take it home as a gift for attending. Also, it is a good marketing tool, because they will remember you every time they wear them.
This year, I started using only the foot baggiesas foot sauna. It works great! Igive the socks asgifts to the hostess and gift with the purchase of a happy hands and feet set (Instant Manicure, foot cream and Extreme repair hand therapy $51) and other Spa sets I put together.
I give everyone a sample of the bath minerals to take home to continue the pampering at home. I follow up to ask how they like the spa experience and the sample andif they like to purchase somein a near future.
Blessings,

I used the foot tubs twice, and thought it was way to much work. So,
I give a foot sauna. When I heat up the neckwraps, I wrap the socks around them and put the Hebral serenity foot creme with them in a insulated bag I got from Bass Pro.
When the ladies apply the foot creme it is warm, and then they put the bags on, and then warm socks. I have had many ladies say they love this better than the foot tubs.
Everyone does what works best for them, good luck,

Hi Tess,
How many neckwraps do you use on your Spas? I know is off the subject but I wonder if I'm the only one who uses one neckwrap.
Thanks,

I bring one neckwrap and one foot tub. It is for the hostess only! Everyone else washes their feet with unscented baby wipes, uses the foot scrub, (washes that off) and puts on the foot creme. Everyone wears the footies and has the heated socks. I do this right before the relaxation portion so everyone is warm and comfortable.
Only having one foot tub is less distracting and makes the hostess stand out a little more. This is my opinion. I never used the foot tubs until I moved.
I give out samples of bath minerals, but take the socks back home and wash them.

Vicki...Good Idea to keep the socks and wash them at home.
Could you explain a little more how you go by letting everyone use the foot scrub? Where do they rinseitoff? How do you handlethis step?
Thank you,

Itzy,
Baby wipes have become my best friend! They wash the scrub off with the baby wipes. My new invitations say to bring a wash cloth. If they remember to do that, I rinse it under water and place it in a tupperware or ziploc container for them to wash their feet with. No one complains about this step and they get it all off. Also, I use a very small amount of scrub so that also helps!

When I used to use the tubs, they would fill them themselves after using the instant manicure. They would keep their feet in there awhile and take them out after the relaxation, apply the creme andsocks (to keep), just before we talked about skin care. But I'm getting tired of carrying the tubs around!
I was afraid if I used the scrub without the tubs, it would flake all over the carpet. And if they used the washcloth to clean it off, then use them on their face when trying the skin care, EWWWW!
I onlygive the hostess aneck wrap so maybe I'll give just her the foot tub, too,to stand out (and maybe help with bookings! smileys/smiley2.gif) and everyone else foot saunas. Then I'llgive everyone a sample of the bath minerals to take home to continue the pampering andfollow up with them, like Itzy said.
Thanks ladies!

Itzy,
I was using one neck wrap and have decided they are too important to use just one, so I limit the Spa to 6 people max and bring each person a neck wrap.

I only promote the instant manicure as a scrub for hands and feet (happy hands and feet set).I tell guests to imagine how their feet are going to feel when they try it on (they like the experience on their handsso, they buy it). I only demo all the products that come in the beautibag, Plus threedifferent products such asthe minerals, the brown and white sugar. Unless, there is someone that knows about the products and want to see the new ones.
After guest sample the instant manicure, they dry their hands with a wash cloth (I bought at waltmart 18pcs for $3.99) andkeep it to remove demo products. It is easier than passing those disposables paper towels. I wash the towels at home. I will start using the socks and collecting them after the Spalike Vicki does (good Idea smileys/smiley32.gif)
After I follow up with clients, I invite them to visit me at my home to sample other products. Specially the ones that are interested on make-up. I tell them that I do make overs on a one-on-one basis or Image parties.
Have fun Spa-ing!!!

Tess,
We posted a the same time! You are right about the neckwraps.
The only thing is that I was trying to carry two bags into the spas andmake it easy and fun.I talk to the hostess about joining myteam and make a point inletting everyone see howeasy it is to visit homes. When I live the house they all see me walking out with my two bags.
I'll try to re-arrange my bags so I can carry the neckwraps in one trip. It is a good Idea and Important part of the relaxation and aromatherapy of the Spa. Very good pointsmileys/smiley32.gif

I never demo skin care on their face during a spa party. I demo it on one hand only. They always have a towel underneath their feet so the scrub, etc never gets on the carpeting. If they are interested in trying the skin care on their face, I will give them a fresh washcloth that I have in my bag.
All the parties I went to before I started, the consultant always demonstrated the product on hands, feet and elbows.
Since I started ordering spa invitations from Spa Supply Source, I don't have to even bring my own towels anymore! On the invitation, it tells them to bring a wash cloth and towel. So that has cut down on the amount of bags I need to bring. The socks take up very little room and I only bring a few extra washclothes with me.

I will only do 1 neck wrapat parties for the hostess. It's very time consuming to heat up all the wraps at home prior to the party. And I don't want to use the hostess' microwave (esp if it's not clean).
My hostess in a week has already expressed how she hopes that her guests get to use the neckwrap b/c that is the one thing that really stuck out in her mind that she really enjoyed. So I felt bad (!) when I told her that it is something special I do only for the hostess, but that I will be passing one around for each guest to "try on." Got to get bookings somehow! :)If this does seem to have a negative effect after a few spas, then I will bring them for everyone. The only time I bring one for each guest is at special events. Hoping to get those bookings from it!

The only thing I have to say about everyone getting a neckwrap is that I noticed they felt less motivated to have a spa party. They already had the benefits of being the hostess without actually having one! If your hostess doesn't stand out as special, they will not book. I have been thru this and noticed my bookings improved with I stopped the foot tubs and neckwraps for everyone.
This is just my opinion and it is different for other areas of the country too.

I have to agree with Vicki. I cut out foot tubs and neckwraps for everyone nearly a year ago. I have not had even one person say that wished I still did foot tubs. In fact, most like the baggies and socks better. The water cools off in about 5 minutes, unlike the socks which stay warm thru the whole spa. And I don't even warm the socks anymore because the bags hold their body heat in!
As far as the neckwraps, I have them pass one around. Each guest must say "why" she loves the hostess and name her #1 stessor while she the neckwrap. I have actually hadpeople who book just because they love this part.
I have heard our Nat'l Exec Directors say that foot tubs and neckwraps for everyone decrease your chances of recruiting because it looks like a lot of trouble. Women are looking for something easy.

I was heating up my socks but then one time I burned them and almost started a fire. My house was smoky all night! (*thankfully the spa was at the hostess' house). So it's good to hear others of you don't heat yours up. I'm scared to now! So really it works to just put baggies on their feet after the lotion and then the socks and it keeps them warm? I should try that on myself once!

I use the srub and then have warm heated towels that they wrap there feet in with a dry towel wrapped on top of that. While they indulge there feet I have them indukge in chocolate -this is when I play the candy game, they get a hershey kiss for every question that they ask about my business, also worth .25 off. Then they remove and put the foot cream on and baggies and socks. They seem to love it and I always get at least one booking from every spa. The towels I rinse in hot water roll and place in a tupperware container and heat in the microwave for 5 min. Then I seal it back up, the towels stay nice and hot! My director does this too so it must work!

leslieRenee,
Do the guests actually turn in their kisses for .25+ off when they place an order??
