I accidentally mixed up two packages and sent them to the wrong buyer/winner. The man who first alerted me that he had received something other than what he won has already sent the package back but the other never contacted me about this and will not return my emails. Im assuming that he likes what he received better than what he actually won.
Now I normally print out my labels online so delivery confirmation is automatic and free. This time I did not because they were boxes(I normally ship my items in flat rate envelopes) and I didnt have anything to accuately weigh them and as you can guess, I did not purchase delivery confirmation smileys/smiley9.gif. I do have my USPS receipt though.
Is there any action I can take against this person who "stole" someone elses merchandise?
Thanks for any advice.

What can you do? This mix up was your mistake in the 1st place and don't think you can do much if the buyer doesn't go back to you.
Believe you can only be more careful in daily operations, or allocate certain expenses as the regular operations cost for damage, postal lost, mixing up, etc, when doing your budget calculation.

smileys/smiley19.gif Oh, sooo not what I wanted to hear, even though I had a feeling thats what would be said. And I am usually so careful when I package things. I always jot down on the envelope or box what the item is before I put the labels on. I dont know why not this time.
Thanks for your input.
