During the special promo time. I didn't say anything to my family about what I was doing. I got in my kit and made 4 meals... and I served the first meal... my family kept talking about how great the food was... what is this mom? This is good baby, what did you put in it? I did this with all the food that came in my kit :). Then I served one of my regular old meals... they wanted to know if I had anymore of that "special stuff". I made my qualifying order so I could be active.
I received my order yesterday and again experimented on them. This time I was armed with recipe cards and a full range of products I custom ordered just for me LOL. I made "Dream Spaghetti" and Cheesecake. My family ate a large casserole dish and my 1/2 sized casserole dish that I made for lunch... in one sitting.. so I didn't have any for lunch!
My family is a HMG family. They are completely hooked. I just wanted to thank Rebecca. I expressed interest in HMG about a year ago. And then I let it go by the wayside. Everytime something would come up, Rebecca would email me, send me an invite, ask how I was... and she did this for a year!
I knew I couldn't pass up on FREE... So, here I am, an active consultant. I already have an order from my website, and a customer catalog party booked. The best thing about that was, she bought products she wanted her friends to try so she could do the show in her home.
I look forward to meeting everyone and learning how I can bring this type of amazement back into someone else's family!

Your excitement is contagious and I am SO excited for you!
The seasonings are SO versitile. It allow moms who hate or don't want to spend a lot of timeto cook - to feel like the hero in the kitchen. And those that are creative - they can use ourseasonings to an entirely new level.
Something you may want to try for a BBQ type party or for Memorial Day picnic.
Southwest brats....Poke holes in brats, add 2-3 tbs of Southwest seasoning and just a little bit of olive oil.Smoosh in a ziploc bag. You can freeze this until ready to use - or just marinade it for a little while.
Grill it......YUMMO!! I add cut onions in the bag too sometimes and then just grill that on the side in alumnimum foil.
You can also add 2-3 tbs of any type seasoning (Taco, KC Rub, Roast, etc) - and add to 1 poud of ground beef and make different flavor burgers.
You can do Italian Sauasage with our garlic basil seasoning like that too...
Looking forward to having FUN with you!

Thank you for the warm welcome Gina, and Rebecca...that sounds yummy! We ate good last night! I made a steak and used the Southwest seasoning.. don't know why I didn't use Kansas City Rub, but it was SO GOOD. I also cooked Green beans in Grandma's Sunday Roast Seasoning.. my husband was raving. Add some steamed broccoli and pesto pasta... this is the second night in a row with no leftovers!
I think tonight we are going to steam some beef and broccoli and have it overa nice fluffy bed of rice.

That is AWESOME!!! Congrats! I actually took the plunge myself last week and switched companies to come to Homemade Gourmet. I attended my first HG party about a month ago and I was so impressed. There are only a handful of active consultants in Florida so I decided to seize the day! I am so looking forward to where this company will take me.
Hopefully I can meet some of you at Family Reunion! I signed up to go today!

I wouldn't miss it for the world and recommend it to all.Have gone every year as a consultant...the first year - it showed me the BIG picture - and it was the BEST decision that I ever made...as it opened up so many doors and possibilities I never imagined.
I think that is WONDERFUL you are going as a new consultant....what possibilies await you down the road with HG!!

Oh how awesome, I want to go to the reunion. It really isn't too far from where I live. I just have to see if I can schedule the time away from my 5 kids LOL.
I was actually shocked about the lack of consultants in my area too. I thought there would be a lot since I live only 2 hours from Canton, but I did the consultant locator just to see and only found 2 near me and they are across the state line. In TX the closest to me are 3 hours away. That leaves me a lot of wriggle room :)
I really would love to go the reunion, so I'm going to have to check those dates.
