Hi all!
I am a little worried...this weekend I am having my launch and my upline is coming from a long distance to do this for me. Anyway, I sent out about 90 invites I have more no's than I would like and a lot of maybes. I am sounding as upbeat and positive as I can as I am checking with everyone, but when those I have sent out invites to see me coming they all turn and run. I know some say launches don't amount to much, but I don't want my upline to come all this way for nothing! Any ideas?

Maybe offer a discount for every friend that people bring. For instance, if your friend Sally is coming, tell her that you will give her 5% off her order for every friend she brings with her...so, if she brings 2 friends, she will get 10%off...

Just an idea. I hope that your launch goes really well!

Hi! I just had my launch last night. I sent out a tons of invites also and had only a few come. I even followed up with calls. My upline also came from an 2 hour drive. But it turned out great. It was also great to hear from my upline about their experiences and their knowledge on the products. The suggestion tooffer a discount is great. I am doing a referral program when they refer 4 people to me and when those people place an order. Let me know if you want details.

I am sure it will go great. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Good luck and keep us posted.

Take care,

I am finally having my launch- been putting it off- but am doing it next wk--- those that I have invited I told them to bring a friend! This way will end up with some I may not even know! Also offering small doorprizes-- have some of the small salt scrubs that I will be drawing for and will also give out some 10%, 20% and 30% off certificates....

Great ideas! Thanks you so much!

Cindi-Love the discount/friend idea....will use that one in the future as well

Carol--I am very interested in the referral program you have. If you wouldn't mind sending me the info, I would greatly appreciate it!

Leah- I love the drawing idea. You would think that I could come up with some of these ideas.

I am so nervous....that no one will show up....it won't be a success....and numerous other reasons. I know it will go fine, just will feel better when it's over.

Thanks guys for your support and ideas. I will let you know how it all went.

Oh my goodness, can I ever relate! My launch is next week and I have three members of my upline coming from Texas - and I live in Washington State! smileys/smiley22.gif I am struggling to come up with 20 or so people to invite. I am panicking and have been asking my husband why I got into this...

I wanted to do Arbonne, but I had NO idea that 3 women would be spending their own money to FLY up for this launch! Yikes!

I, too, will feel tons better when it's over...

Jan- just remember it will be great if only 2 or 3 people show up--that is 2 or 3 people who will hear about how great our company really is! And maybe a BB will be born!

Really though I can relate- I am having mine Wed and Thursday nite--trying to accomodate those who I know will be going to church on wed and those that wont- I also sent out around 25 invites to people who dont live anywhere near here- in my follow up call to them am inviting them to try a sample that I would love to mail to them-

I have 4 children and since both nites are school nites- cant really have my husband take the kids out - so I am borrowing a single friends home-- single guy living in a huge absolutely gorgeous home - so really want to have a decent turnout as well--I mean I am kicking him out of his house 2 nites in a row! But I have faith that surely among the 75 I invited from here in town - will have someone show up- I think it is the "fear" that sometimes holds us back from doing stuff like this-

So good luck to all of us that have a launch planned this wk and next- WE WILL have a great turnout - and a great nite-

Hey Jan!
My upline is flying to NE from OK. I do feel a little better after talking to my NVP...she said having 5-8 people at each class was a great #. I was thinking I had to have 20+ at each one...so that was a load off.
I often wonder, too, what did I get myself into. It all sounds so easy, and there's all these "scripts", but when am actually face to face with someone I forget what I should say. My husband is in sales and has been very encouraging and assures me that with time it will all come. Guess I am a little impatient because I want it all NOW!!!!smileys/smiley2.gif

I totally feel all of you!! My launch is in a few weeks. I'm completely nervous too!

I am going to do several doorprizes as well, and also a gift basket. Another idea is to give those who bring a friend a gift.

I am having a "launch" next week. I have been doing arbonne for a while, but now that I have made more friends (we moved last summer), I am inviting them all over to introduce my business and products. I have really peaked their interest by offering a 1 hour massage by a raffle. I am going to take 10% of the profit and pay for the massage. If they bring a friend, they get an extra ticket for the raffle. People seem really excited about this! I say use whatever way to get them excited to come! Free products, raffles, discounts, whatever. People love free stuff and discounts!

I love the idea of raffling a massage. I would love to win that myself! smileys/smiley1.gif

In our successline, we don't send out any invitations for a
launch. Instead, the new BB calls everyone she knows (she can
talk to them on the phone or in person, but cannot leave the invitation
on an answering machine) and asks them to book a show for her. If
they say no, then she invites them to the open house in her home.
If they say yes, she sends them a thank you note (handwritten of
course) that states:

Dear Jane,

Thank you so much for accepting my invitation to the Arbonne
presentation at my home. It means so much to me to have the
support of friends like you as I start my new business. I look
forward to seeing you on Wednesday at 7:00. By the way, if you
find you won't be able to come, please call me ASAP at 555-1212 so that
I may have the opportunity to fill that spot.

Sincerely,

-Lynn

This does 4 things.

1. Reminds guest that they agreed to come and that you are expecting them by thanking them ahead of time.

2. Reminds them how important this business is to you.

3. Reminds them of the day and the time.

4. Tells them that you expect them to call if they can't make it so you can ask someone else.

One more thing...We generally have 2 open houses, back to back (clean
the house only
once!) at the beginning of a month and follow with another at the end
of the month. This way, the new business builder has a great shot
at having 10 shows her first month, 3 at her home and 7 with
others. If nothing else, she has 3 shows booked that she KNOWS
won't cancel on her!

This has been incredibly successful for us. Hope it helps you too.
