Ok, so I just went to BeautiU this weekend and I was totally inspired by the Directors there and am SOOOO excited to be doing this!!!! I learned so many great things!!

A lot of the new consultants weren't shown the make-up at the spa parties they went to and don't currently show it during their own spas. How about everyone here? What is the general consensus?

Also, the Senior Director who led BeautiU said she doesn't hand out the product guides at her spas - only set sheets....what have people here found that works??

Thanks!!

BeautiU is the best! I plan on auditing the class in the next couple of months with new consultants starting in my area. It will be fun to go to again. I had such a blast the first time!

I have always had a makeup set out as part or my spa parties. Guests can try the makeup on if they like and I have applicators handy. Sometimes the hostess will have one of her friends book an image party instead of a spa party.

There areset sheets in my folders, but have found around here it is better to just have the product guides available. This is something that I discovered in my city, but is not typical everywhere. Most of the guests will not buy anything at all if they feel they need to buy in sets.

Don't forget to share what you learned at BeautiU! I would love to hear some new ideas!

We weren't shown the makeup at the spa I signed up at. At the last couple I have had, Iplaceda Beauti set out on a table and passed around the Beauti tool before the close. I have actually started having pretty good sales in the makeup.

I have also found that the guests at my spas prefer to have the product guide. At almost every spa someone asks ifthe set is the only way they can get a product. I hand out a folder with a set sheet, product guide, order form and Independent Consultant Agreement. My director does not usethe guidesthough. I guess it is whatever works best for you.

Good Luck!

That's how I felt too about the sets. I've decided that I will offer a discount (like 5-10%) if they choose to buy a set because otherwise, there isn't really a cost incentive to buy them - it's just what each item is individually priced added up.

I think I will use the product guides but have the best sellers and sets printed out and laminated for people to look at, too.

I should have mentioned that I offer a 10% discount on sets.

Wishing you much success!

I understood that there are two parts to BC- Spas and Imaging. I chose to do Spas only since my spas are geared more along the lines of Maintenance, Repair and Prevention in skincare. I don't even order make-up and it is less stressful for me to try to handle two types of products. I'm still learning facts about the products I use in my spas- my last spa presented alot of skincare questions!I was glad I had read up on what was good for this and that...

I guess it would be up to the individual consultant and her preferences as to how she does her spas. I only take into my spa what I plan to demo on the hostess and guests that night. I still use the product guides though. As a personal preference, I like to "see" in color what I am buying and the product guides are very explanatory. I just figured the ladies also like to see what they are buying. I do tell them up front that what I demo I pretty well keep in stock and that I do spas not imaging so therefore I do not stock make up at all. They understand that. I don't even mention make up in my spas unless it is to tell them the importance of using Lip Apeel to remove build up of using too many lip products. My ladies seem to love my spas and I share the importance of stress management along with the skincare regimin I demo- the two compliment each other. If you have too much stress in your life, your skin will show it!! This is my personla opinion though. But it works well for me. smileys/smiley4.gif

Good luck to you in your businesses! God bless!

But during the spa itself, I focus on the spa products.</span>

I ask for a volunteer who knows she has a lot of sun damage. I then give her a wet disposable towel with the Gold cleanser and have her wash her face. Then I use the black light on her revealing the sun damage. Then I have her use the tonic, the Plat Reg., and then while under the light I have her put on the Cell C so that the guests can watch it turn her skin purple (only under the light!) which reveals how well this product protects against UV-A &amp; UV-B rays. Then I do a 5 minute makeover on her. I sell a lot more skin care &amp;prevention products as well as the cosmetics by doing this.

I DO NOT take any product guides with me. I pass out a Spa Escape Item List which has all the products that I demo and are also the products that come in the new consultant kit. Each product has the individual price and they are also broken down into sets in which they receive a discount when they purchase in that set. This way they know that they can purchase individual products orin sets. For me personally, my sells have gone way up since I started leaving the product guides at home. Because there is so much in the product guides to choose from, I inevitablyhad too many people who wanted to take them home and look them over before ordering. I found that once they left the spa they usually never ordered. However, I do include a product guide in their sack with their purchase when I deliver.

Wow, I am finding a lot of this interesting. I know you all will think I am weird, but I went looking for a company to work for and that is how I found BeautiControl. So, I didn't even know what to do at spa till beautiU. lol I love the products. This is one of the places I looked at when finding a company. I also found out, very few people here know what Beauticontrol is, which is to my advantage. lol I will be so happy when I can start putting more hours into this. I love the skincare/spa side of our business.

Thanks for sharing what you all do, because I think that it makes us unique on how we sell and offer our products and services.
