I would like to sign up to be a consultant. I am not sure yet
whether I want to actually sell the products yet or not, but I
definitely want the discount for personal products. My sister was
the one who introduced me to Arbonne. She doesn't sell at all,
just uses the product. She lives 1500 miles away and she
recommended that I find a consultant nearby, sign up under her, and she
will show me how to sell. THe only problem is, the nearest
consultant is about 1 1/2 hrs away and a complete stranger. I am
kind of uncomfortable with that. And, I really want to give my
sister the credit for introducing me to the product. What do I
do? Can I learn the selling part on my own if I choose to sell
down the road?
Thanks!

One of the great things about Arbonne is there are no territories. And even better is that Arbonne is one big family and you can plug into training under someone who isn't in your upline. There's conference calls, www.ArbonneUniversity.com (http://www.ArbonneUniversity.com), weekly learn and burns under the internet consultant section of www.arbonne.com (http://www.arbonne.com). Most of us in Arbonne follow ethics and refer someone back to the consultant/wholesale buyer who first introduced them to Arbonne. The person who introduced it to your sister (who introduced Arbonne to you) would more than likely be glad to have you on her team. May I ask where you are located?

You can definately be a consultant and have your sponsor farther away. As Cassandra said, Arbonne University is a great tool, as are places like this where you can post your questions! Best of luck to you and let us know how things are going!

I guess I should clarify something. My sister is an Arbonne consultant/wholesale buyer. She decided to be a consultant strictly for the discount for her own personal product usage. She doesn't want to do it as a business. That is why she was thinking I should find someone else to sign up under so that I could be properly trained if I decide to do the business part.
Thanks for your replies!

I would sign up under your sister and then utilize Arbonne University, Learn & Burn and I'm sure if you did some searching you could then find a group near you to plug into. Most people in Arbonne love to share. Also when your sister starts seeing your success she may open her eyes to what Arbonne has to offer.

I agree. Most of the successful people in the company just signed
on for the wholesale discount, never intending to sell anything!
If you decide to do go for it, and then your sister catches the bug,
you should be on her team! If she's not doing the business,
people in her upline will help launch you, because it also benefits
them! They will want you to succeed and will help you, no matter
how far away you are.
BTW, I just want to say how proud I am to be part of a company where
this is the response you get! People encouraging you to go back
to your sister, who introduced you to Arbonne, instead of fighting with
each other to sign you. The fantastic integrity of our company
attracts consultants with the same.

I just signed up this week also to buy Arbonne at a discount. I'll be using it for my personal use and showing it to my friends and family. I already have a business that I workas my primary businessand didn't want to add another to the mix - so it'll just be personal sales for me.

I would ditto the responses to go ahead & sign up under your sister. If she doesn't want to do the business that is fine but you don't know what she'll want to do down the road & you'd hate to be under someone else & have her decide she does want to do it. Like others have mentioned, it happens often that people never intend to do the business but change their minds sometimes, it can happen years later.
We have more than enough tools to help you teach yourself what to do. Sometimes even though you do have a sponsor who works the business you can end up having to teach yourself, for whatever reason. But I am sure whoever is in your sister's upline will be happy to coach you. Once you are signed up then plug into them. If they are like most in arbonne they will be thrilled!

I agree! This is a big reason why I joined Arbonne. The support that the majority of us give each other is just amazing! I don't think you would see this kind of integrity in most companies. :)

Thank you all for your good advice! I did sign up under my sister & I am awaiting my starter kit. By the way, I have the phone # of a consultant upline from my sister (correct?), & my sister said this woman is willing to answer any questions I have & help with whatever I need! Pretty cool!
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
