I am so excited to be able to book my first show in Austine, TX, one of the most beautiful city in the State!!
It is a benefiting event for an documentry film that the city of Austine is sponsored for. I plan to donate % of the profit to the event host. So, anyway,I have never done a show or a fair....need some suggestions about display, scent of the candles I need to have with me at the show, and other materials I should have so the outcome of the show is successful.
Have any of you done show or fair before?
Thank you for your support!!

That is soo awesome! As far as scents go, pick the maybe 10 to 12 of themost popular, which can be found in your backoffice message boards, OR you can sort them by best seller on the product page now. I would have atleast 2 to 3 of each one if you can afford to. I did a show back in November and had some of everything we have and did pretty good. I would only take a few votives personally as if people can buy cheaper they will, but totally up to you. The bella bars did really well for me as well.
You will want to have biz cards and brochures on hand with your info on them. I would also have scent samples attached to the brochure so that if they dont' buy they take the brochure home with scent sample attached and you may get an order form them later. MAKE sure that everyone who buys atleast gets biz card and/or brochure.
I would seperate the scents by category, like fruits, floral ,baked goods, spices so they are easier to identify. ALSO take a long some coffee beans so they can cleanse their nose between scent sniffing lol.
You could put up some decorations around, some spring foliage leaves flowers, pretty table cloth. Have signage up as well, what works really well for pricing signs, is to take a 5x7 clear plastic pic frame that stands up by itself and put price guides in them. That way they don't have to ask what the price of every item is that you have out.
If you have some biz opp cds take them as well, you never know when you will come across someone interested in joining!
I hope that helps you some. :) Best of luck!!!
