I've just received my offer email, and I'm wondering about their question of whether I have a printer. Do you ever actually need your printer when doing the job? Is it possible to score without a printer?

It is good to have a printer to print out the specific materials that concern your particular test , unless you love reading them online. It's a matter of personal preference. It's probably handier to print them out-- you could always do this from another computer?

I'm training for a scoring session right now - the site has several pdfs to reference while scoring (the original material, question, rubric and examples of different scores) that it recommends you print out; it was almost 60 pages long so I only printed certain selections (the rubric and original material/question) and the rest I've been keeping open as a pdf to reference back to.
I imagine that you could just keep the pdf open to reference while scoring.
If this is your first time scoring, you will need to access a printer to print off the various HR stuff that Pearson requires (I-9, NDA, etc.) so you can fill it out and fax it back.

I received the email from Pearson also to do a short month long scoring. I applied and sent back all the paperwork last month and haven't heard anything. I even emailed for a status. Nothing. How long did it take for you guys to hear back from them. My question is why send me the paper work via email, have me mail my I9 info and other application materials and don't hear back from you to let me know you even received it. They did conform my computer was ok to use, but nothing else.

You probably won't hear from them until you receive your welcome letter. If you don't receive one in the date range mentioned in the initial e-mails, e-mail or call them then to confirm that you're still in the project.

Can someone give me an idea of how many hours it takes to complete the training? I'm specifically interested in the training for the Advanced Math project. I know it probably varies from person to person, but I'm looking for a general idea - i.e., is it a couple hours or a couple days.
Thanks!
