Hi, Tasha! I'm sorry you aren't liking your current gig! Unfortunately, $10.00 an hour is very high pay for a wah job, and there aren't many other jobs that will pay that much per hour.

Have you looked into transcription or freelance writing? If you scroll down the list of forums, there are boards for both transcription and freelance writing that might have more information for you.

Best Wishes!

Holy Cow! What company are you working for that pays you $10.00 and hour? I've heard that bloggers don't really make that much. But a lot of it has to do with how much work you put into it. Hope you find something that works better for you.

I wish I was making that much at my WAH job. I would just learn to appreciate what you have.

If you decide to try your hand at blogging, do it while you still have this job. It can take a long time to get your blog established and get decent traffic coming in. Only the very best and knowledgeable bloggers make that kind of money.

Most WAH positions do not pay over $10/hr. I do have a gig that pays more than that but it's a combination of phone/writing work (more phone than writing though). Plus, I deal with periods of no work available. So either way, $10 is pretty good.

In between my projects, I have other filler positions like Weegy and I work for Bz*Ag*nt (see the Communications Specialist post) - neither one of those positions "pay the bills" alone but it helps when I have periods of little/no work from my main WAH job which is a Godsend. I also work with our local schools 4-6 months out of the year during school hours. Basically, you may have to work multiple non-phone gigs to make the money you are seeking without having to resort to customer service/telemarketing work.

Othen than what has already been mentioned, the only other home jobs that I can think of that may not involve phone work are online tutoring or writing/editing/blogging. There is also ChaCha, KGB, and KeyforCash (data entry), though I doubt you'd make as much money. Do you have any other marketable skills or specific interests?

$10 an hour is a pretty high rate, but there are other things you can do. There is a ton of information in this forum. Good luck and hope you find something better.

Hi Tasha, I understand how you feel about phone jobs. Have you applied to Leapforceathome (http://leapforceathome.com/) or Bzzagent Communications Contracto (http://www.nonphonejobs.com/search/label/Other%20Jobs)r? Both are non phone and pay pretty decent.

How long does it usually take to hear back from BzzAgent?

Hi Five Stars,
I do not know cos I did not apply with them, but there is a thread here which would answer your question. I tried searching for it but couldn't find it. There a few people on wahm.com who applied and got accepted. May be they could answer your question. You can also read a review here (http://icanwah.com/2009/04/06/bzzagent-com-dev-reveiw/) about the position.

We cannot speak about them here on this forum because we are under contract. The previous post you were referring to was deleted.
