...to get photos, clipart etc.

Do u use a software or go to a specific website and buy them? if so which one?

Are there any free sites where u are allowed to use their pics on banners/headers etc?

thanks

~Jessica

I use istockphoto

I haven't found any free sites that I like all the banners say something about the other company. It is so simple to make a banner, I really don't see any reason to use one with someone else's logo on it.

I use Istock as well.

I also use www.sxc.hu (http://www.sxc.hu) which is free and they do have some nice photos there. If I can't find something there then I head to Istock.

I can usually find what I need at Stock Exchange (http://www.sxc.hu/)

Most of the images are free for use. Be sure to read the licensing carefully. The ones that have Standard Licensing are the easiest to use (as far as legally). Also, even if it doesn't say it, it is always best (and respectful) to include a "photo credit" for the photographer somewhere on the page.

i was reading on stock exchange that you are not allowed to use their photos for logos.

I mostly need them for headers and sent a request to them to ask if i am allowed to use them for that but have not heard anything yet.

Does anybody know if it's ok to use them for headers?

thanks
