Hi -
I am a new consultant trying to get some business. I am offering my neice who is 18 and a senior in high school as a bb. I showed her a catalog and told her about the products and the whole "Let's Go Shopping" thing. She liked what she saw but still hasn't committed to anything yet. I was going to offer her a chance to try some stuff out. I told her she could take a catalog, get orders from her friends and if she got $250RV she could choose $100 of product for herself for $20. She said she would be interested in that. I plan on giving her some catalogs, some sort of order form that she could use and a flyer with this month's specials. I am wondering if I should also offer the 35% off - I really just want to get some orders and introduce these products to people who haven't heard of Arbonne. Is that what you were thinking of? I'd be interested to see what you have. PM me and I can PM you what I have if you are interested.
Anything you have thought of that I haven't? Let me know!

Maureen-

You may want to offer the 35% off because of the age range. A lot of girls in that age group can't afford to buy expensive skin care! Just a thought.

Hi-
I am mulling it over! I was also thinking of charging the full price which would cover taxes and shipping and $100RV worth of free for my niece. ($250 RV costs $162.50, I could give her $100 RV which costs $65 and the rest would cover taxes and some shipping.) She goes to a private school where the kids have $$$.

Maureen, how about having your neice and her mother host a show and invite all her friends and their mothers for a Mother/Daughter facial/makeup sorta party? This would be a terrific way for them all to bond AND introduce your products to new people! Just think... you could even do it in pajama's or after the facial/party- maybe even turn it into a sleep over for the girls and a mom's night out for the moms!

Hey Maureen-

There is an ENVP who is one of my ENVP's who got her daughter into the business when she wsa a senior in HS. Last I heard she was an AM. Her goal was to get to RVP by graduation, not sure if she made it but pretty amazing goal for her age!

Anyway, I have an article about her that was scanned in. I'd be happy to forward it to you if you want to PM me your email.

Cassandra -
The mother/daughter thing sounds good, but I don't think it would work in this situation. My niece is the oldest of 8 - (yes, that's right - 8!) and my sister( her mother) and my brother-in-law have crazy schedules. She's a nurse and he's a firefighter. My niece also works to put herself through school - she's one of the ones at her school without big bucks. She's a great kid and a real hard worker!

Shelya, is yours about the RE9 and sending out invites to sample the products? And the host is the one who gives you the names? Just curious if it is the same.

Lori,

It sounds like the same thing. I have an explanation and an invite in our business manual from my rvp.

Yep, definitely the same. I have not personally tried it yet, have you? I am thinking that it may be time though seeing as how I have been through my warm market and have made lots of cold calls. Now I need someone elses warm market, huh! smileys/smiley5.gif

I have not treid it but I was just given the number tonight of someone who wants to do it. my friend has been selling to her at retail and she has always earned hostess bonuses. My friend is not doing the business anymore so she passed along the woman to me.

I will be doing the "no party" with her next week so i'll let you know!

wow! 8 kids!

well, you know what they say about busy people... busy people get things done! You could tell your neice about the idea and maybe she has a friend who does sleepovers or get togethers often, maybe a friend who's mom is a PartyQueen (I don't know about everyone else, but I LOVE PartyQueens! you know, the ones who always do parties). This could be an excellant way for your neice to put herself through school, just like the gal mentioned earlier who is an Area while still in high school! Can you imagine doing Arbonne in high school? Everyone else is making minimum wage and you are building a business with umlimited earning potential. From your first post sounds like you are concentrating more on LGS? This will be great for her but more with her friends mom and dads than friends her age, they will love the aromatherapy and makeup, but I doubt they'll get into the RE9 and nutrition as much. But what do I know, I was a teenager a few decades ago!smileys/smiley36.gifEdited by: cassandra

Hi Cassandra -
Yes, My group does LSG, but I am finding that people who don't know the products aren't willing to sign up for a wholesale account before trying.(Arbonne is relatively new to the Northeast.) So I figure this is a good way for everyone to try a little something and get people introduced to it. I don't want to shove the stuff down their throats and turn them off completely!
I was thinking the same thing for the girls - aromatherapy, makeup and maybe the Basics or Clear Advantage skincare products.
