Hello all!
I am new to verafast, today was my second day of trial calls. I spent much of my day reading here, in fact I read every post. From what I'm seeing here it seems that making money is up to me, what I put in this job I will get out of it. I'm positive from what I read that I can make good money here if I work lots of hours and do my job just as I've been instructed. It really seems that simple and I really hope I'm right, lol.
I have been working from home for 3 years now doing inbound customer service calls. I worked for Time magazine for a bit, talk about angry customers, every call was awful, lol. Then I worked for Arise, it was really hard there because you really have to have money to make money with them. You have to pay for your own training at $200 a class then practically fight to get hours on a first come first serve basis, ending up with maybe 5 hours a week was not paying the bills.
So now here I am. I'm happy so far and I plan on staying that way, lol.

So maybe I'll eat my words eh? LOL Today I talked to my ICC and she told me I'll only make $0.50 an hour for the first 3 weeks, but it will go up when I'm on a bit longer. $0.50 an hour???? I'm hoping that's just to make me not expect too much, I hope I'll be able to make more. She also told me I can't work more than 20 hours a week, but I've seen some on here working 35 hours a week. So tell me all, does this all sound right to you?

Thanks to all who reply.

50 cents an hour sounds pretty low to me, even for first contact calls. First contact calls are simple, which is why they put new people on them. But you get a whole lot of answering machines-the contact rate is much lower on that call than on most other calls. But still, 50 cents is a bit low. I do know once you're off first contact calls, you'll make more money since you'll talk to more people.

I'm so happy you replied Carolina, I was hoping you would since it seems you have a lot of insight on verafast. I thought from what I've read here that 50 cents seemed quite low.
She also told me that no one can work more than 20 hours, but I see some people here who have claimed to working over 30 hours, is that a real possiblility?
Thanks again http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

It all depends on work flow. If it gets real heavy again, I'm sure they'd let you work 30 hours.
