Hey all,

I have an idea. The idea is to build a psychic mastermind of sorts.

I am looking for multiple authors who would each only have to contribute 1 or 2 postings per month (at http://www.psychic4u.net) and then list their friendly URL or any other signature link at the bottom of each posting.

With 50 to 100 authors and average of 5 postings per day, we should be able to get to top of google rankings withing 6 months to 1 year.

The "snag," here is, that people are writing for free.

And who has a year to wait to make money in this economy?

No one that I know.

I think honest, real psychics are kept busy with their phone lines, chatroom and private clients. Many have families and need to
generate money NOW.

If anything, they would write their own e-book and put it on their website, and get money for their writing.

They can't afford to give it (their writing ability) away for free.

There is no guarantee they will get new business.

In the short term, someone here, listed, partnering with a cafe, restaurant, in your town/city, to get new clients.

And if people want to write with "keywords" for Google, it makes sense to write for your own website and get yourself at the top of the pages of Google.

I really appreciate your feedback.

I understand the thought of waiting a year is daunting.

On the other hand I still think spending about an hour or two a month writing maybe 1000 words is not much of a sacrifice given the potential long term benefits.

I mean think about it.. 100 to 150 authors writing only 2 postings per month on a long term basis. I can guarantee you that it will generate business and more business over time and the business generated would be with 45% improved margins.

I guess it is hard for me to understand why anyone would refuse to particpate in such a thing especially if one is serious about advancing ones business.

If I was giving psychic readings as my main profession I would try to advance new business as much as possible.

Working together with a group of 100 to 150 psychics would not only be fun but also very rewarding longer term.

Anyway maybe I am going about this wrong.

Perhaps you have some other ideas for me about how I can generate new daily content for my psychic4u.net website?

Another idea I would like to bounce off of you if you don't mind :)

I was thinking about profiling all psychics in america through text interviews and then putting them on the site.

So I would send a list of 10 questions to various psychics about themselves etc. and they could either add their own questions or remove ones they dont like.. So then they would type in the answers.After that I would put that up on the site as a posting perhaps with a small picture to go along with them and how they can be contacted.

And then do that 1000 more times....

what do you think of that?

you think all the psychics on this forum would be willing to go along with this new idea?

it would be a form of free promotion for them. they would just have to answer those questions once and it would be a form of free advertising for them....so after that they are done and they have a signpost on the internet that will heavily promote over the long term...

I am in talks with a NYC Literary agent.

They deal with the Hollywood A List. They just signed one of their screenwriters to a $350K deal, got his screenplay optioned.

That is a **** load,er, i mean truckload of money.

Writing for free, is like sitting on a whale, fishing for a minnow.

Why would I work for free, when an agent wants to represent me?

And they can open doors for me. NY, LA and worldwide, because I have talent.

Having 150 psychic friends may be your goal in life.

It is not mine.


I was contacted by CBS Radio yesterday.

i won't work for them for free.

I'm not stooooopid.

They came to me.

There are zillions of opportunities, yes, even in a recession, but working for free just isn't on my to do list. My time, and my energy is precious and has value.

Any ideas I have will be between me, CBS Radio, and taking my show from Radio to Television.

I have 2 Entertainment Lawyers working on my behalf.

I can only speak for myself.

I get calls all the time from LA, from people who want to fly up to Toronto, film me, test me, enter me in all sorts of Reality shows, whether Special Events, or tv. No pay for me, but $100K for them. Yeah, right.

I don't need a pimp.

God gave me this ability to help people so that is my dharma.

Yeah, there are already many who are professional writers. You may be able to get amateur writers to write little articles but I'm wondering what the interest would be in doing so?

I guess I'm a little confused about the idea as well.

Most psychics already have some platform for their abilities on the web, phone, in person, etc. - and many more have, in addition to that, their OWN blogs, web-sites, etc. to promote. What would drive consistent traffic even with a bunch of articles posted? And how would posting content to this page drive google rankings? If there were just a bunch of canned "articles" with psychics filling in their own answers to an interview -- what would be the point of that?

Wouldn't that end up as just another "directory" sitting lonesome on the web? Maybe I'm not imagining this correctly.

This agency is the real deal. We are talking movies with Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Angie, Tom Hanks.

They handle authors, playwrights and authors.

It is people, who contact me with crazy
"ideas, business proposals," which really are
hangers on, trying to use my name recognition for their own profit with
a capital P.

Just in the last 3 weeks, i had 2 business people contact me,
and wanted me to give them the winning lotto numbers when
the Canadian 649 Lotto went up in the range of $48Million.

And also, a woman, whose brother owes the mob, a truckload of
money.

Sheesh! I did not place any bets with any gangstas.

I am not obligated to dig him out.

He dug his own grave.

I have to agree,, I have enough to do advertising for my own website, If youre wanting someone to work on your behalf, (especially in this day and age) youre going to have pay them something or find something profitable you can offer them that they dont already have. Blogging and writing articles to BOOST your ratings is fine, but how in return is that helping the psychics who are already doing that for their own advertising. im satisfied with MY search results, according to the key words i type in im always on the first page or two, and didnt cost me anything more than my time and effort. Link exchanges seem to be my best tool, not asking other psychics to BLOG or write articles, i save those tasks for the magazines that pay me for my services,,,, Sorry, not trying to be negative, just seems to me youre just asking for help with your popularity and just calling it a fancy name.

I'm sorry ... I write ... and writing for free, unless it's for my own site is just not acceptable. If you look on the WAHMS Who Write board, you'll see many complain about this.

If you're going to write for little immediate return, write your own blog, write articles for associated content or ehow, or any other number ezines out there that already have a circulation and allow you to list your web address and or email.

Otherwise, get a copy of Writer's Market, or join the website and see where you can sell your words for a decent return. Just so you know, Tom, with some publications, a 1,200 word articlecan net you $500 - $1,000. And you don't have to wait a year to get that. Even a token payment is better than none.
