Hi! I'm a newbie here, and I recently signed up as a consultant, and I have a meeting with my upline on Wed this week, but I'm anxious, so I thought I'd ask here.
I'm more interested in prospecting businesses than I am doing parties for friends. Has anyone gone this route? What was your experience? Any pointers?
TIA
Kim

Hey Kim~
First off, welcome to Arbonne! You are going to really love it!
As far as prospecting businesses go I don't personally have much experience but I would recommend joining the Yahoo! discussion group (I believe it is called Rbonboard). It has about 1000 members who are all consultants and there is a lot of helpful info on there about prospecting different types of business and what-not. Also, there is a Learn N Burn on prospecting medical folks. Hope that helps.

Hi Kim-
As far as prospecting business- do you mean salons, spas and what-not? If that is the case, they will only be able to sell out of these establishments if the are "appointment only" businesses. So, salons, doctors, spas, etc.
Some people have had success from this, but I have not. I have 2 salons under me which started out really great and I thought it was going to be awesome for my volume, but I haven't seen any volume go through with them in about 4 months.
One of the RVPs in my nation has a huge day spa and they aren't getting anything from that either, just what their original purchase was.
You will find that most of these types businesses are running their own business and are quite happy doing so. They want to sell at retail so they make a profit and don't want to be bothered with signing on wholesale consultants.
However, there are people out there that are ready to work Arbonne, you just have to find them. There are some salon owners and doctors that have made Arbonne their career, so it ispossible. I think Arbonne is more of a one on one business, but that is just my opinion. You won't know unless you ask. Its better to hear no then to wonder. :-)
Keep us posted on your success.
