New Votive Survey Sheets

To Grow Your Business!!

The photo is now on the web site under business materials

This was created by Director Paul Hobson:

"When sitting at a restaurant (or anywhere there are people) you an use this very effectively. Let's use the restaurant situation for example: When the waitress comes over to the table (you can time this at the beginning, middle or end of your meal) you would ask her
"Do you know anyone who burns scented candles?"

or

"Do you burn scented candles?"

When the waitress says "Yes I do."

Your reply is to hold up a Mia Bella Votive Candle and explain "We are introducing a new gourmet candle in your area and I was wondering if you would be interested in getting a free candle?"

When she says yes, You say to her (holding out candle and the votive survey sheet) "I just need you to fill out this survey so I can call you to find out your impression of the candles."

I will not give them the votive unless they give me a telephone number in order to call them to get their feedback.

I also ask the waitress if she knows any other employees who also might like to fill out the survey and receive a free candle. (Usually she will get a few friends from the back room to fill out the survey too!)

I always make sure I check the votive I gave them for the followup.

I also staple the survey sheet to my lunch receipt because it is proof for my tax deduction on doing business ni that restaurant and also proof that I gave away a candle for sample purposes which is another legal tax deduction.

By getting a call back number your chances of getting retail sales, enrollees of future fundraisers is much higher than simply handing them out and hoping for a return call!!"

Love this!

I like this much better than the table mat idea!! lol

Now, am I correct in assuming you give them the votive on the spot?? So you really need to plan this out and have your votives with you.

thanks for sharing!!

If someone tries this, please keep us posted. I am a little cautious about this and here is why: In our area, people would take advantage of this, so I would be cautious giving away a whole votive out just for filling out that sheet of paper.

OR do we give it to them, telling them we will call and ask about their experience with the candle, then call them to see what they liked about the candle, give them an explaination about our candles, and would they be interested inA. Purchasingmore of these wonderful candles B. Doing a fundraiser with these candles, or C. Buying them wholesale? That could work - as long as they agree to doing a phone survey after burning it.

Deb, that is a good point. Many people want something for FREE and those votives cost us a dollar each, so i would also be careful and selective on who i give them to.

I dont want to hand out 15 votives beucase the waitress got all her friends to sign up just to get a free candle.

Dont want our candles to be downplayed like that. These are GOURMET candles and I would like to keep that image with them.

Make sense?? Also, i would prefer to get their email addy becuase with the ohone call it is a one time thing as opposed to being able to email them with monthly specials, biz info, etc.

I guess you could always get their info when you call, but what if you never get ahold of them? You lost that dollar for good!
