I am totally green to the insurance side of things. I have worked in health care administration but that's the only avenue where I have dealt with it. Recently I started looking into getting my license and the possibility of selling medicare supplemental insurance from home. I was wondering if anyone could help me by giving me a sort of start off point or what I would need to do that sort of thing. What companies hire medicare supplement sales from home? Is it something I would do on my own? How would I even start to do it?

I don't want a silver platter hand out just a gently nudge and advice. smileys/smiley36.gif

Thank you. smileys/smiley2.gif

Hello Teddybearcabin. You can go here and get some great information.

http://www.insurance-forums.net/forum/

Just to let you know I just contracted with a company that will allow me to market a accidental death policy with Return Of Premium and it can be done from home. So there's other opportunities besides just med supps. So when you get licensed ge the Life and Health at the same time.

That is exactly what I am looking for. I want to obtain both Health and Life so that I can primarily work from home with maybe one or two days out of the house on appointments and closings. Thanks so much for the info!

Based on my experience I was able to getmy Life Only License through the state. This enables me to do Medicare, Annuities, Long Term Care, Final Expense, and Medi Cal. Companies you would want to be contacted with are names like Secure Horizon, Aetna, Today's Options andHealth Net for MediCare and Aviva, National Western, Assurity and Alianzz for Annuities and Long Term Care. Hope This Helps. Check out my freeweb site for free information in regards to lead generation if this is the industry you plan on getting yourself into. Leads are key and all Insurance Agents will agree. Edited by: Adam Inocelda
