Hey you guys,

I am semi-new. I re-did my profile, I was known under "Godsown" and I changed my profile (but I am still God's 'own', lol).

I have my own consulting business and wanted to know what are some additional ways to promote, self-market? I do the business card thing, post on Craigslist, etc, network. I feel that I have a great niche, especially in my local area. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

God Bless,
Jaynahttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

Blogging, article writing, and social networking are free/cheap ways to get know on the net.

If your local area has online classifieds post ads there too.

Social networking for sure, especially Facebook. It's easy enough to find people and groups in your area. Lead referral systems like this one (http://www.BailoutMyMLM.com) are also excellent ways to generate leads, but they won't necessarily be in your specific area.

If you already have the niche down, then you're ahead of most people who try to target a large market. So good start. I would try sharing your ideas in these forums and others where you could be most helpful to others. That does two things, it makes what you know more clear since you are explaining it to others, and you are able to show off what you know.

Everything they said :)

Offer to write guest blog posts on other blogs that reach your target market.

Spiff up your own blog and make it a better representation of YOU :)

Get out there and make a noise!

Besides article writing and social networking and blogging, I find that video posting on video sites creates a lot of qualifying leads. Use trafficgeyser.com to post to 100´s of video sites.. Give it a try :)

Try using tubemogul to submit to many video sites at once. It's a bit of a hassle to setup initially, but ones it's setup, it can save a lot of time. They also have good reports to see which videos are getting viewed most often.

There's a website, which teaches you how to market your business/website on the internet using free tools.
It's called the 30 Day Challenge, but of course you can do it faster...
