When someone contacts you by email wanting to know more are the biz and products what do you say?
Do you have a script you use? I always feel like I say to much and go into to much detail. I think I overwhelm them.
I need to reply to an email but I haven't had much luck in the past so now I'm not sure what to say.

So how do you respond?

TIA
Brittany

I'd Probably try to get a phone # and call them. It's a lot easier to explain over the phone.

Or maybe email back to find out their specific interest. Have they tried any product yet? Where did they hear about the business? ETC.

That might make it easier. Narrow the focus.

Talking to prospects I've met online is also a challenge for me.I've noticed that somepeople seem hesitant to give out their phone number so I try to maintain communication online.

Sometimes I get to the point where they want to get an information packet. I send out some general info (high level fact sheets, a catalog, some samples and one or two small item (e.g. a travel sized hand cream)).

What's frustrating is that the trail usually goes cold after I send the package. In a few cases, people will respectfully respond back and tell me their not interested. In other cases, the prospect expresses interest but doesn't follow through with the online registration process. While I can deal with the two cases above, it frustrates me when I DO NOThear backfrom a prospect AT ALL - no email, nothing, nada. I even follow up with them and still get nothing.

So, if anybody is having overwhelming success with doing this online, I'd love to hear about it too!
