Hi Nekki,

Whattype of Candle Business are you looking for?

I am with a company called CandleWealth and and we make out own Soy Candles at home.
We can sell them for whatever price we'd like, and we make anywhere from 100 to 400% profit, and you can make immd'profit.
We have a variety of different kits you can purchase and we even have pre-made soy candles.
With our company, because we are in Direct sales, you have the chance of earning residual income each and every month, and we also have weekly pay.

If I can be of help, you can pm me for more information anytime

Hi Nekki,

Best of luck to you and your mother on whatever path you choose. You have a lot of things to consider. I'm sending you something in a pm to look over.

Research, research, research. Candle making is science, and it takes a whole lot of testing to get just the right balance between your wax, oil, wick size, and jar. There is a ton of material online about candle making which should help get you started. You'll still have to do your own testing to come up with a product you can feel good about selling.

I'd also check to see if you have suppliers close by, as the cost of shipping can get quite crazy. We recently switched our soy wax even though the base cost was slightly higher...as it turned out, we were saving about $20 on shipping!

Be careful of "cheap" oils, but don't think you have to pay an arm and a leg either. We pay on average $14 for a 16oz bottle of fragrance oil, and it's high quality. If you are just getting started, the 8oz bottles are nice and not too expensive. As you add scents to your line though (which each need to be tested with your wax!) and your business grows, you can save quite a bit buying larger quantities.

Again, just research, research, research! There is no "easy" formula to it all! ;)
