I am a Financial Representative for Primerica. I'd be happy to help or answer any questions you may have.

Do you have to be licensed? I was licensed in TX for both property and casualty and life and health butI let my license expire. I'm not even sure how to go about getting my license back????

When you first start with Primerica, you can begin with doing debt consolidation loans, etc. without a license depending on your state requirements. Then they help you to get your life license firstwhich is all I have so far. I've been toldthey help to get other licenses as you advance. I'm not sure how to go about getting your license back either. I could only say maybe to contact your state licensing office for info on that. I'm still fairly new at all this, so I'm sorry I'm not much help. Are you still in TX? I could check to see the requirements for that state or whichever you are in if you'd like.

Hi there. Yes, I'm still in Texas. I've contacted the insurance board so hopefully they'll be able to give me some info.

Thanks for your help. :)

Yes, I'm a bit skeptical of joining primerica because having been affiliated with State Farm for several years and then working under an Independent, I like the flexibility of picking and choosing.

I'm sure I'll have to start all over with getting my license since it's been over four years.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can do everything online instead of having to go to a testing center?

Thanks

Yes, you are correct Cornelius at least to my understanding. I don't believe you would be able to be contracted to both Ameriplan and Primerica. Not to sway anyone from Primerica, but I am considering venturing into becoming independent myself. However, the upfront costs I would have in doing so are keeping from that at this time. I would like the option of looking into and offering the absolute best product for each individual client rather than having only one to offer.

Best of luck to you Sara!
