View Full Version : Keeping It Simple ~ Part 2

02-02-2006, 07:01 PM
Here is an outline from my conference call this morning:

Keeping It Simple:

We want to make our spa parties to be uncomplicated.Keep it simple by following the simple spa flip chart and keep it fun! People will book and sign up as consultants if they feel they are having a great time.

Focus on why you love BeautiControl:

Love of Product?

People we meet at our spas and in the company?

Affordable prices?

Our unique spa parties?

Ask yourself how many days a week BeautiControl spa parties fit into your life.

Concentrate on booking those days. A suggestion is to go out and get a big At A Glance calendars or printing a 8 1/2 x 11 from the computer. Highlight those dates you want to fill in. It is best not to have a calendar with all your personal items on it.

Directors and DIQ's:

Hold a weekly VIP + above leadership call of 15 minutes

Hold a weekly call with a consultant interested in leadership or a potential recruit for 15 minutes. This can be an individual call.

GOOD NEWS DRAWING:

Encourage your unit to share the good news going on in their business! It could be a great spa party or recruiting. Enter them in a drawing to win $100 free product of your choice for helping the unit stay active and encouraged.

I have to say, this is a great incentive for me! I already won $100 in product from my Director for using the online calendar.

I was going to share this on our first conference call, but it is not quite set up yet!

Great tips! But whatI want to know, is how do you bring your stuff with you to spas? I feel like I'm bringing EVERYTHING, but I hate to not have something if someone wants it. Nine times out of ten, I have to order it anyway. How do I make that part of it simple? It seems I spend more time loading and unloading my car!

Good question! I do have inventory. I used to take it to every party. It never fails someone will order something I do not have enough of or not in stock at all. Now I make deliveries unless I do a spa party out of town.

The deliveries get you back in touch with the client and another chance to offer her a spa party, the opportunity or both.

I carry my spa bag. One bag for my calendar, folders, neck wrap and socks. I also have a booking basket. 1 foot tub is all I carry. I am now able to get into the house with only one trip! Remember, if it looks too complicated they may not want to join you. It looks hard!

Hope that helps!

What I do is to keep my inventory in my car in a cooler. Then, after I finish taking orders, I go back to my car (by myself) and fill the orders in my car. The products I don't have, I order anddeliver later.

I only carry two bags. My black Escape bag and My BeautiControl rolling bag I earned during July recruiting promotion. I try to make it look very easy.

You want everyone to see how easy and simple this business is. You are in-outandback to your family.

Blessings,

Those are great tips! Thank you. Now, another question, how do you get in and out in a decent time? I mean, my hostesses ALL want to know then and there if they made the 250/2 booking deal, and they want to know NOW. Seems like I'm there at least 2 hours AFTER I'm done spaing them and the guests leave. smileys/smiley36.gif Guess I better work on making it simple!

I am in and out fairly quickly. I tell my hostess to have her guests arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the spa. That way they are settled down for the most part and we are ready to start on time. Then I watch my time to keep it to the 1 hour.

When they are shopping and snacking, I pack up so I am ready to go.Ihelp the clients with their orders, getthebookings on my calendar and give the hostess hersales total.

Arrive 1/2 hour before the spa. 1 hour spa. 1/2 hour to shop. Total time 2 hours. Sometimes the guests are slow in shopping because they are having a good time. I never rush them. But it is my goal to go home at the 2 hour mark. Sometimes I join in the fun if I know the hostess well.

Does that help?

Hostess couching is important. If they understand that this is your business and you are providing a service and a great relaxation time for her guests, they will help you in the process. Hostesses need to understand that their guests miss out if they are late. Also, tell them that you have plans to join your family after the spa. That is the beauty ofthis business; you are in control of your time. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

If your hostesses are curious to see if they made their 250/2 goal, you are doing well by making it clear that this is how they get their reward. This shows that your hostesses are working their parton having enoughpeople at the spa and asking for bookings. Great job!

Amy closing verbage is a great way to close your Spa. This way guests understand that the hostess is working towards a goal and they can help her get there.

Yes, sometimes you may have to stay longer. But for me, the longer I stay the lessI sell. If I see that is taking too long for them to decide, I try booking them on a one on one basis. I tell them that I want them to be satisfied with their purchase and let them sample other products. This way you get their full attention and build a relationship. Perhaps, increaseyourchances of booking, selling moreand recruiting.

Have a great February!

Thanks Sis!

Thanks also for helping load and putting together the Chocolate fountain! I think next time, I'll have to have it together b4 and just load it and go. I just got another call from a lady there, She wants a chocolate spa next month! I see GREAT things too!

And thanks to all for the tips (I forgot to take Amy's closing with mesmileys/smiley9.gif) Next time though! Ladies, my hostess did awesome in sales last night (about $500) not bad for only 6 people! 3 bookings!

I am EXCITED about this year!

The chocolate spa sounds great-what is it that you do during the spa? Leslie
