Firstly, Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
Prior to starting our family, My career was in the Medical Billing Field. I have worked in healthcare for over 10 years with a focus on Ophthalmology. Knowing that my sonwould bebeginning school, I found myself so eager to get back into my career focus-while holding out hope that I would be able to either telecommute or work from home.
For the last 3 months, I have been sending resumes and applying at several Billing/Coding Internet companies. I have only been out of the industry for 4 years but I guess the lag hurts the overall resume. I also find that most companies would prefer not to hire a part-time/telecommute/or work from home employee. I have also thought of starting my own company..but there is so much involved.
Does anyone have an idea of where else I can apply? My resume is steller-even management and back office-with great references.
What has been your experience?
Thanks! I really appreciate your inputhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
