I'm so excited! I have an interview with 1800 Flowers on Friday :-) Wish me luck!

Went to work for 1800flowers.com for the Valentine's season. Worked two weeks and made over $450. They had trouble with their computer servers which was frustrating but altogether the experience was great. They asked me to please apply again for Mothers Day. I spoke to two different supervisors on how they got their jobs and they both worked two holidays and then were asked to stay on. Each made supervisor in a year.

It doesnt work for all. I have been here 2 1/2 years with experience asmanager and still am not one.Right now we are at a slow season and they are cutting back. I don't want everyone thinking it will happen. Yes, there is a chance but no guarantee.

I, too, worked V-Day, and really enjoyed it! But my SSM did say they were making lots of cut backs, and were not really retaining many of the temps. I guess a lot of them were actually released a couple of days earlier than planned. Darn economy smileys/smiley5.gif Good luck to you, though, let me know if you get hired on again for Mother's Day!

Good luck to you, Suzanne! I interviewed with 1800 a couple of years ago. A very nice lady interviewed me and it was a breeze. I was offered the position but had to turn it down due to a scheduling conflict.

I wasn't aware of the temp positions. Can you just apply to work for seasonalwork like onValentine's, and Mother's Day?

Do you have to attend a training for this? On site? I thought I read that somewhere...

they hire for busy seasons. you can occasional check website www.1800flowers.com (http://www.1800flowers.com) on bottom, click on employment.
the training is virtual. you need a USB headset that plugs into computer as well as landline phone with headset.
They are trying to gothru computer for phones but still have a few issues.

No, it is a week to two weeks, depending on if you do just sales or sales and service.

But training is from home.

I'm curious ... why do they only offer employment in certain states???

http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifLooks like they are gearing up for Mother's Day! Training is 4/27- 5/1 and working until 5/10 . I can not wait! I made a lot of money and hope to do it again! Maybe this time I can become "core" after the holiday.

I got the email as well! I did VDay, but now I have other, stable commitments, so I'm not sure how this will work out for Mom's Day. I'm going to have to think about it over the weekend.
