I've been meaning to ask what your outgoing message is--the tip on "what to do" under "give it up girl" reminded me! I have yet to make one and I can't wait! I want it to be creative and grab attention.

I know that you're suppose toinclude your website address in your outgoing mail, but doesn't that sound like it would be hard for the person calling to try to hurry and write it down or even hear it clearly? Just myconcern.

I subscribe to the success factory. Every day they send out fabulous tips and ideas that any direct sales business can use. They just sent out an idea related to phone mail messages yesterday! Here is the message.....

===============================================

1. Changing your message daily helps you to look and sound professional. It helps people to know your office is open.

2. Keep your message short, sweet and to the point. While advertising your current “specials” is tempting, it can also be
an aggravation to a caller.

3. Hit the # key! Many answering machines or automatic voice mail systems have an option to by-pass the message by
hitting the # key. As a courtesy, if you decide you DO want to have a lengthy message on your machine, give the option
of letting a caller by-pass by hitting #.

Here are a couple of potential phone messages you might want to consider:

1. “Hi, this isJennifer Brewerwith BeautiControl and you have reached my home office. Today is Wednesday, February 1st.
I’m sorry I missed you but your call is important to me. Please leave your name and number and I will call you back shortly. Don’t forget to ask me about how to get our products FREE!

2. “Hi, thanks for calling! This is Jennifer Brewer with BeautiControl. Today is February 1st and I am out of the office until
noon. Hit the # sign to leave your name and number or listen on to ourlatest promotionand leave your info after the beep!
(Then talk about the Give It Up, Girl! promotion.)

Remember, enthusiasm is the key! Keep a smile on your lips and energy in your voice as you are recording your message. As
cute as it may be, DO NOT let your small children be the voice of your home office. Often, as parents we forget that while
WE can understand what they are saying, others can’t.

If YOU have a short sweet message that is to-the-point that you use for your business, we would LOVE to hear from you!
Thanks for sharing.
