Can someone tell me how these function differently in the body? Thanks!

The Optimal Digest function is to help the digestive process - the breakdown of the food we eat.

The Colon Cleanse functions is the help in the process of elimination. Basically, you will be going to the bathroom 2/3 times a day. Edited by: MyLittleRiley

I haven't tried to Optimal Digest yet but I used the Herbal Colon Cleanse for 4 months straight and it helped me significantly. I hate to be gross or anything but without it I have problems going; I can go for a whole day or 2 without going. When I took the HCC I was going at least twice a day. I've been out for a couple weeks now and I really can tell the difference. I need to order some ASAP.

I love the HCC supplements! I too could go for days (sometimes even up to a week) without going to the bathroom. I thought it was normal for my body until my husband insisted I go to the doctor about it. Although the doctor tried to tell me it was related to my thyroid problems, he didn't really do anything to fix it. I started taking the HCC pills about 5 months ago. I go every day, sometimes twice a day and I feel soooo much better!!! My husband takes the optimal digest, he says it keeps him from getting heartburn as often....he's quit taking prilosec and now only takes the optimal digest.

The colon cleanse is important to those who are doing a detox (which is why one could feel worse in the beginning) or other types of cleanses. Arbonne's colon cleanse product is not just for adding bulk for elimination (which should be happening at least once a day, but it is better to go 2 or more times per day), but it is also an effective probiotic, which helps to maintain the balance of the healthy flora in the digestive tract.

Many people have an overgrowth of candida and don't even realize it. It can manifest itself as brain-fog, PMS, achy joints and muscles, abnormal fatigue, IBS, gluten intolerance, and many other symptoms.

I have a client who suffers from (it seemed) random allergies and she consulted an environmental specialist who advised her to use probiotics. She gave him the product info for Arbonne's Colon Cleanse and trough further communication with her (and her Dr) I learned that Arbonne's Colon Cleanse is formulated with Lactobacillus Sporogens, which is different from the typical product formulated with Lactobacillus Acidopholus. The sporogens are (from what I learned) 20-30% more effective than acidopholus.

Also, for people who are doing detox's and/or cleanses, it is important that they maintain an acid pH within the body. The Lactobacillus Sporogens in Arbonne's <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Colon</st1:place></st1:City> Cleanse produce lactic acid that prevents overgrowth of errr... yeast (candida) and even parasites (gross).

So ... yeah. That's what I know about the <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Colon</st1:place></st1:City> Cleanse. Probably way TMI. LOL

When you start out taking the CC, start with 1 tablet every other night. You can increase it by ½ or 1 tablet from there to get optimal results.

I have been taking the Colon Cleanse now for almost a month and I am definitely more regular with going to the bathroom.

Should the HCC only be taken for a certain length of time? Do you have to give your body a break from it or anything?

I have heard that you should not take the colon cleanse daily, because your colon will become dependent on it. Has anyone else heard this?

I've been taking 2 HCC's daily for months now and am not dependent on them -- I just know that without them I am constipated for days. They are not a typical laxative -- they work much diferently than a laxative does.

As far as the optimal digest is concerned....does anyone use that? I read somewhere that it was good for people that get heartburn and acid reflux.

I don't get either of those things yet, so I haven't been tempted to try.
