If you are searching Craigs for a job please be aware of a company called Blue Sparks Electronics. I went through their process for an at home CSR position. No warning flags. Everything looked legit. They even responded today with a decent email that gave info about the company and a legit web page to apply.

You go to do the application and the first page is short. Again this was not a warning to me because I've had a few applications that do that. The first page collects name, number, etc and the second asks for the resume portion. Well this one doesn't. It takes your info, submits it, and then your screen pops with ads. Thank god I have AVAST and it catches everything. For those of you who have Avast let's just say that it sounded like an alarm beacon going off. It was crazy.

Basically if you see this on craigslist and you get the email back saying Blue Sparks stay away!!!!!!!

Thanks for the warning cabaret. I'm always searching on craigslist for jobs. I will steer clear of Blue Sparks Electronics for sure.

I personally gave up on Craigslist long ago. That is a scammers paradise.

Thanks for the warning. I always look there for writing gigs, so I'll be sure to watch out for that company.

Usually when something like this has happened it was fairly easy to spot it. The web page didn't look right or something like that but I will give it to these guys they put some effort into it. I think I am going to take a break from the "great job hunt" for a few days. I have some gigs that I need to work right now and frankly with the GDI craze and so many new scammers lately I've grown weary of the hunt for a bit.
