I guess the whole invitation system didn't work as planned....
Dear U.S. Consultant,
We have identified you as a Consultant who has an open RbonneInvites event. This e–mail is to share an important update with you about the RbonneInvites program. After nearly a year the program has not met either your or our business expectations. We know that you and your SuccessLine team members have experienced unacceptable challenges using this program.
As a result we will be taking the RbonneInvites program offline beginning Monday, December 29th. This means all events must be closed and applications and orders must be processed and closed by 6 p.m. Eastern time on December 29th. Your SuccessLine team members can call 1.800.RBONNE for support closing their events by this deadline. Our Customer Service representatives will be happy to assist in addressing any questions or concerns. We will be informing those who have open events — and those who have used RbonneInvites in the past three months — about the program being taken off line. Please note that the majority of Consultant orders and applications are not impacted by RbonneInvites and will therefore not be affected by this change.
Approximately one percent of active Consultants have used the system since it was introduced earlier this year. We have not seen an increase in the number of events organized using this program. Further, severe technical difficulties have created serious and frustrating month end issues for all of us. This change will improve the ordering experience at month-end for the majority of Consultants placing orders through Shop Online. The good news is we are working to improve the Invites concept to offer you more functionality and convenience in the future. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements on the status of the program.
Thank you and happy holidays,
Rbonne Customer Service

Subject: RbonneInvitesProgram Temporarily Shutting Down
I justreceived it this evening! Somewhat irritating that I have to close my open event by the 29th! My year-end special offers to customers were to go thru the 31st! Grrrrrr!!
I don't believe that the Real reason is itdidn't workas planned, but that it can't continue to work as planned for the company!!
Iuse the Invites frequently in orderto get the most Hostess benefits.
Whenusing Myselfas the hostess, the added extra RV and hostess gifts make it the best 'bang formy buck', so to speak.Iexpected it to be just a matter of time before they would figure this out and do away with it. Too bad.
I confess, I have often used "nomail@email.com" addresses to add my guests to monthly events in order to not send actual email invitations everytime. My uplineshowed us how to do this, for those times when we had extra guests show up orthat we wanted to add that were not already onthe Events List.
Actually it became an easy way to have virtual classes and still use theInvite system. I also used it to put retailorders inat leasttwice a month andget all the hostess benefits! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
Considering all the changes starting Feb 1, 2009,to have only
1)Client, 2)Preferred Clientor 3)Consultantas options,
Ican understandthat the Invite Program as it is, can't work.
Too bad that the Subject Line wording is: it will be 'temporarily' shut down, asI expect it to be a 'permanent' thing.
I have decided in Jan 09 to put my business on Hold 'temporarily'.
At least, until I see what the 'permanent' changes are going to be.
Just another way to cut corporate costs andsave money. In order to stay viable in this economy, it's understandable we're facing changes across the board. Kinda scary, but one has to be aware of the possiblities...
but... Could have used a little more notice!
Any Thoughts??

I agreee that the timing is not the best, but maybe they are coordinating it with the warehouse shutdown for inventory. I also use this program, but really only to enter orders, not to actually invite. And I truly believe the statement that not many consultants use it, just from posts I've seen here.
They definitely do have some kinks to work out in the system. There needs to be a different way to send invites, for example. And generally needs to be easier to use.
I don't think they are getting rid of it, or they would simply say that now. My suggestion is to contact them (and perhaps your VP) and let them know you like it and, as a consultant, what changes you would like to see. @ does listen to our voices and if contacted will better know what we need.

I too am a fan of the Invites as it solved all of my dilemmas on who to offer all the bonus buys, and hostess gifts to (the hostess or the guests). And I like using for when I gathered orders for PRV. But if people aren't using the system then I wouldn't want corporate paying for the staff that needs to be in place. It takes a lot of manpower to oversee just that one function.
Hopefully if enough people put the request in to bring it back and really start to use it we will see it up again soon!

Hey everyone (FL Breeze esp. since you have an outstanding event),
I just got an e-mail from my VP about a special extention for this progam until Jan 29th. It's too complicated to post, but they said that any consultant that has used this progam in the last 3 months will receive an e-mail from @. If you don't get one contact your VP. If you can't get it feel free to e-mail me and I can forward it to you.
