Sorry I haven't updated you all earlier on the GNO I pampered at last Thurs. I've been busy since, esp with trying to catch up, now that it's over!
What was a hopeful 60 women to register became a 170 women registered!! And this was the church's first GNO. I was afraid there'd be something not go smoothly, but the only bad thing was the long lines, and that was only at some booths, not all. Yep, I had a very long line!! The others with long lines were the chair massages. When women walked by, they could see the pampering I was offering.
I was very fortunate to not be placed by any companies. The Body Shop, Arbonne, and 2 MK reps were there, one of them my friend. She was placed in between those 2! The other MK wasn't even in her unit. Besides that, her sister was right by me. Her sister does color analysis and usually works with her sister's MK. I felt so awful for my friend. She did satin hands, the other MK did a foot treatment and the Arbonne did foot tubs.
I had a 6 ft table, so I displayed all the products I had. I made an effort on the display with a nice tablecloth and a small flower arrangement. At the table by the entrance to my booth I placed a binder filled with hostess program and co. info. I displayed the pedicure gift and neck wrap. Set out a booking calendar. And displayed the spa starter kit for door prize. I had set out small bowls with chocolate. I wrapped hershey nuggets with labels with my info printed out on them. I also placed handfuls of these at the tables where the ladies would be sitting. I put a basket filled with samples of SOHIM and bath minerals. I ran out of those at the end of the night. I actually had a woman come up to the booth b/c she saw my email address on a sample! The perks of having a catchy email!
I could take 3 women at a time. Occ. I took 4. I did a mini spa on them minus the SOHIM and foot treatment. While I massaged their hands I answered questions, told them how it would be different at their spa, and told themthe hostess benefits. Once I finished I told them the door prize had all the products they had just sampled, so to be sure they signed up for that. They all fell in love with the neck wraps and loved all the products, act. I had hoped to give the women an actual relaxing 10 min. mini spa. By the time I was done with their hands and finished the lip apeel, it had been 10 min. It went by way faster than I had thought it would.I only had 1 hour to pamper as many women. And my line went in front of the booth next to me. I felt bad about that, but she wasn't promoting in any way.
By the time it came down to the last 4 people (my friends) they announced 5 more minutes. I had JUST ran out of eye pads! They didn't mind. I kept my products up for after the table time and ended up pampering 6 more women.I was able to figure out that I had pampered 30 women.
I had brought folders of info for anyone inquiring about hosting. I brought 10 and came home with 2. I had put out 30 guides and came home with 4. People tried the products I had displayed. I thought the drawing box would have had a good number in it. But there were only 7. So that was a bummer. I did have some women who work at a nursing home ask if I would go there. Imentioned that might be really nice for Mother's day.
So I don't have many leads that I can work with after all that. I can only pray that those sincerely interested will contact me. Tonight I will be calling the woman who won the kit. I so enjoyed that evening. It was a blast. All the women were so nice. I was so grateful for the opportunity to promote myself and BC. I really don't regret anything about all that I did. I used some ideas that you have all shared--thank you! I felt really confident and owe alot of that to your great support!

Hi, sounds like you had fun. Did you have everyone you pampered fill out a form, with name and contact information? That would help with future bookings and your contest or drawing as well. Always have a way to contact them, because most people forget about what they did yesterday and your information may just get lost in a pile somewhere. When you call the woman that filled out the form some suggestions would be, ask them if they mind telling you what they liked didn't like and lead your way to book with them. Thanks for sharing your GNO with us.

Congratulations on a wonderful evening. Even though you say it didn't result in many leads you never know how God is going to turn it all for good. Way to go Kimberley.
