I teach web development right now at the local community college, but
I'm thinking of starting my own business. I just don't know where
to start. I have a tons of skills...

XHTML

CSS

ASP

Flash

JAvascript

Cold Fusion

I feel comfortable developing anything on the web and I'm not that bad
of a designer either. But how do I get started? Do you mind
sharing your stories?

Offer services to local businesses. Work on a portfolio and begin bidding on jobs at various websites. I get most of my work through word of mouth now, but in the beginning I applied to gigs on craigslist a lot and did websites for friends of family.
