I still have to make peanut butter blossoms after I get the kisses.
Never made them with bisquick - sounds interesting!
I LOVE kolachkies (sp?) and thumbprints.
I hate to admit this - but we had mostly cookies for dinner tonight!
5 inches of snow and a 4 hour commute for my husband (normally 1 hour).
We decided to just have fun instead and enjoy the night.
Happy Holidays Everyone!

This is more of a candy. It's best to hide a few for yourself as they go fast!
Peanut Butter Bars
<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
2 cups chocolate chips - melted
1 cup peanut butter
1 stick butter
1 ½ cups brown sugar
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp Watkins DS vanilla
Cream peanut butter & butter together. Add vanilla. Alternating, blend in brown sugar and powdered sugar. It should be a semi crumbly consistency. Press firmly into pan (approx 8 x 13). Pour melted chocolate over top and spread to edges. Let set up for a couple minutes, then cut into squares. Refrigerate for 1 hour. You may need to re cut squares along scored lines.

I love my mother-in-law's sugar cookie recipe with some fluffy frosting and all the sprinkles my kids can fit on them! By the time they are done, you can barely tell there is frosting underneath. Peanut Blossoms are a very close second though. That reminds me - I haven't made them yet! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I have a VERY sweet tooth, so I like 'em all! But my all time favorite would have to be sugar cookies - with or without icing!

THANKS FOR THE RECIPES!
I have always had a sweet tooth.
I can already tell that I am going to have a hard time getting into my bikini for Floriday and Hawaii in January.I am very excited about these trips - but hard coming off of my favorite baking season. Thank god for freezers! Ithink I would eat them all.
I may make both the blossoms and the PB bars from above. I was going to make a PB bon bons that use rice krispies but may opt to do the above instead.
Cheers!

I like those italian cookies with the different color stripes and then the others that are round with hard colorful sprinkles on top! I just can't remember the names. Biscotti and florentine cookies (I just saw the recipes on the food network and they seem like they would taste divine) and those almond cookies with powdered sugar on top. I can't stop eating those once I get started. Edited by: cloud9

Our family favorite is hands downgrammies butter cookies and rasin filled cookies and the absolute best ever... pin wheel date cookies, tassie cookiesand peanut butter kiss cookies, White chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts
Last weekend/week we started our cookie baking tradition.....
my sisters and I made well over 70 dozen so far.
We make gift baskets and give to each family in our surrounding areas.
This saturday we will be making the tassie cookies (which is like chocolate - chocolate chip cookie with a half of a caramel on top and peanut butter kiss cookies.)
These are our favorite family cookies.
