I need some help - has anyone put BeautiControl on a resume? I am having to get a second job right now, this is only for short termsmileys/smiley2.gif and then I will be able to continue BC full time later.

If anyone can help me that would be great. I'm just not sure what to put. Please pm or email me at beautyme@bellsouth.net

Thanks everyone.

I have put it on before when it had some relevance to the job I was applying for. I've even put down (back when I was a teenager) doing light office work for my mom's BeautiControl business.

Any job I ever apply for, I adjust what I put on my resume. If I did something at a job, but it has absolutely no relevance to the position I'm applying for, I'll take it off. Or put things back on if I think the person hiring would like to know. So it really depends on what you're applying for. If you're applying for office work, write down stuff about how you organized client information and order forms, your phone skills, creating flyers/invitations, etc. You can mention your customer service skills, training and recruiting, sales, demonstrations, etc. There are TONS of things that we all individually put into our BeautiControl businesses, and things we'd often downplay really could be the skills that a company is looking for.

I'll look and see if I can find a copy of one of my resumes where I mention BC.

Most definately. Owning your own business and building a team is a great asset to any employer. Jemm was right on, and it also shows motivation, determination, and leadership if the shoe fits.
