I was wondering if someone could tell me if you can use course grain Dead Sea Salt to make the scented rocks. I purchased some at a candle shop that someone had made and it smells wonderful and wanted to make some so I thought I would ask on the board. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jackie

I believe you can use them. I purchased mine from Salt Works. (https://www.saltworks.us/salt_info/si_MakingBathSalts.asp)

That is the link to their recipe. I'll be honest and say that I have not had great luck with this.smileys/smiley5.gif When I made my first two batches, we received some unexpected visitors. Sugar ants!smileys/smiley11.gif Now, why would sugar ants be attracted to salt? Obviously from the FO, but it was annoying nonetheless. Once I got rid of the scented salt, they disappeared. So, I have not gathered enough courage to try it again.

smileys/smiley36.gifStupid ants!

I have a 25lb bucket of salt that I would be willing to dump! I'd be more than willing to send you some. Just shoot me a PM.
