I personally had that problem a year or so ago and started using the scrub faithfully 2x a day and the extreme hand repair throughout the day.I have not had the problem since!

I have a client that has been using the scrub and extreme repair on her daughter for several years because her hands bled. I would recommend that as well as the Herbal Serenity Overnight Hand Creme. I've just started using it. I don't care for the smell, but I love how it makes my hands feel! I have extremely dry skin!

This is what hooked me on BC first. I had the cracked, bleeding, rough skin on the sides of my fingers and across the backs of my hands. The Show of Hands stung like fire the first time I tried it, but after using it faithfully day after day, along with the ERHT my hands cleared up quite nicely! Now I just use the SOH 2-3x a week and the ERHT daily and my hands are great!

On another note. My husband lost all 4 fingers on his right hand almost 2 years ago. We used the SOH as one of his stimuli to de-sensitize the skin graph he had. (This was after all surgeries/healing process). He is back to work on the same machine that caused this....he works with the brown kraft paper and asphalt. Now this area of his hand a couple weeks ago was looking all dry & "pinched". Along with the fingers on the other hand being cracked and black looking in the cracks. He actually asked me if I thought "that stuff" we used for stimuli would help him. DUH! His hands are looking much better and he would not be impressed that I shared he was using "girly stuff" on his hands. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Wow, what a great story! I'm glad that your husband got back to work, that's amazing! My boyfriend and all his brothers "secretly" use BC, too...and no one knows............haha! All your tips are very useful, I'm going to start my client using the SOH more regularly than she does along WITH the ERHT. If she still needs more help, i'll probably get the overnight stuff too! Thanks All!

My dad uses (and sells for my mom) the extreme repair. He got frostbite that damaged his hands when he was in highschool or college, and it works better for him than the prescription lotion he was using before. My hands are very sensitive to most lotions, and this is the only one that not only doesn't sting when I'm super dry, but also works amazingly well.

And a scrub or an enzyme would help exfoliate the dry skin off too. Sometimes when that loose skin catches and pulls is when it can be the most painful. But if it hurts too much to use anything else, just the ER will help get to a point that they can use something else.
