my husband is in the military and leaving for iraq in 3 months, so i am looking for something at home so i'm home with my two kids so it's not so traumatic on them. i want to start right away but am staying for the moment and my mother-in- laws house and cant do work where it involves inbound calls. is there anyone out there that knows of legitimate jobs that dont require phone talking but can use computer and internet?

Hey!
Do you like writing? If so try www.textbroker.com (http://www.textbroker.com) it's a really great site!
Also take a look at this board http://www.workplacelikehome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131122
they have some great suggestions for non-phone work.
Another good site is www.workathomemafia.com (http://www.workathomemafia.com) theyhave over 23 different catagories and they're all non-phone related. Please understand though that a lot of time it's extrmely hard to find a non phone gig that pays well. Most of us have 3 or 4 gigs that make up a full time income if that's what you're looking for.

There is a lot of helpful information here on the WHAM forum. My advice is to research things a bit. And also avoid opportunities that try and charge you an up front fee.
Good luck.
Good luck.

First off, THANK YOU to your husband for serving....and to you, I know from experience being a military wife is TOUGH.
I started at freelance sites. I was so tired of getting scammed I figured I'd try there. I became a member of the site, which was a good idea because most employers do not accept bids from free members, and started bidding right away. Within a week I had my first project, and have had tons since.
Its great because they have tons of different admin projects, so you won't be stuck with a customer service position (I know how impossible that is with kids)
Prayers to you and your husband, good luck in your search!
