At the GNO that I demoed at a nail-woman did paraffin dips and then wrapped everyone's hands in alot of saran wrap. So it got me thinking...would that be more cost effective than ordering those plastic booties? Would you replace the plastic booties with saran wrap? Your thoughts welcomed here!

I didn't realize there were plastic booties.(Learn something neweverydaysmileys/smiley4.gif) I have always used the Glad gallon size storage bags. These are the ones that come with the twist ties. The ladies just slip them over one of their feet and then put the sock on. They seem to work just fine for me.
Have a great day!

I have never used the plastic booties. I do heat my socks though.
Just curious- would anyone care to go through what YOU actually do at your spa from start to finish? I'm always lookingfor fresh ideas and I may need to change a few things. Those who will, tell us how you do your typical spa. Thanks!

I know a Consultant who has always used Saran wrap instead of plastic bags or booties. My Director uses the big Ziploc bags.

I am back! I use the plastic surgical footies that I ordered 250 pair for a great price! They were from a medical supply company. I will find that email and let you know the webpage for that.
Had a great weekend where it was warm! Now I am back and they are talking about snow. I guess it is still winter! LOL
Have a good week everyone!

Hi
When demo'ing my foot care products I use the socks. First I soak the feet. Then I use the foot scrub on each guest feet. Then I let them take their feet out, and while they are drying I am going around patting and massaging their feet putting foot cream on their feet. I have taken my light weight footies and have them heated in the microwave and in baggies before going to the spa. So as I massage their feet Iam putting the foot lotion on, I slip the socks on the guest's feet then move on to the next one. When I am finished, I do my talk, then let the ladies' keep their socks. They wear them home or whatever. It works great! Hope this helps. Sounds like alot but it really isn't. Oh by the way, I buy the socks at an outlet and like I say I buy the footies.

What is the difference between plastic gallon bags and the surgical plastic footies? Why do you like them? Leslie

LeslieRenee,
Welcome to our WAHM message board!
I really like the surgical footies because they are economical ($21for 500 pair)and fit very nicely. My guests take them home with them to use again.
I don't know about everyone else, but I would thing that the plastic gallon bags would get expensive. The same thing with saran wrap.
This is just my opinion. There are no right or wrong answers!
