Hi I live in a area that is very small in a military community. Does anyone know of a good party business. I know that there are no chucky cheeses but these children need good things to do for parties I thought the bear parties would be fun. But some of them seem expensive for parents. Who is with a good party plan business.

Hey,
What about either the Purple Hippo Parties or Stuff A Friend. I rep for both. TPH offers more options for the customer. SAF is great too.
I would love to talk to you more about either of these. They are both about the same type company where we come to you to host un-stuff animal workshops. I just love it and really trying to promote both of them.
take a look and let me know.

Hi!
It's $5 and that gets you a web page.
What is Teacups and Tiaras? Sounds like it would go great TPH. We have princess and prince outfits that customers can buy. I was thinking about buying them and renting them out.
I would love to answer more of your questions if you have any.

I own a dress-up tea party business. I have been researching a way to expand and possibly help others get started in their own tea party business. I had never heard of the Purple Hippo. Do you go out and host the parties yourself? Do you get a commission? Or do you set your own prices?

The Purple Hippo is brand new. We can host parties or sell directly from our web page. We get 30% commission and 10% from our team's sales.
We host unstuffed animal kit events. It's like Build a Bear but we go to the customer. We can host any kind of party. We have the cutest little girl's dresses and grown up dresses to.
You could had the animal kits to your tea parties or host birthday parties.
Do you go from place to place to host your parties?

I use a couple of wholesale companies. I found them last year when I was thinking about doing Noah's Ark. I figured they get their bears somewhere so why should I pay them when I can get them myself. I did some research and found some suppliers. I was originally going to do only stuffing parties. But I accidently came across the whole dress-up tea party thing. And there is a market for this in my area. I do alot of themes and I am doing pretty well. I must say that my dress-up tea parties are more popular than the stuff-a-bear parties.

Hi I am with Noah's Ark Workshop. I chose them because of their high moral values. As far as prices go for parties I have found that compared to other party planners in my area my prices are quite reasonable. Most in my area charge about $200 for every 8 children to give you an idea of what I charge you can check my website out I have my party plans listed on the front page.

nikip- I'm with Noah's Ark also and love it. What about Big Yellow Box as an option? They have cute craft kits. As far as price goes, I did comparison pricing when I first started. For the number of kids and what you get Noah's Ark is comparable to Chuckie cheese, the laser tag , roller skating and go cart place in my town. Bowling was the only cheaper party.
kindermusikmom - Do you have a website for your teacups and tiaras biz? I would love to take a look at it. I love doing theme parties for my 4 kids and had thought about turning that into a biz. I would love to see what you do.
Thanks

Hi Niki!
I'm in no way affiliated with The Children's Art Cafe, whose link I've given you, but this is a company I looked into last year but didn't join just because it wasn't for me. It's a CUTE concept -edible paints!-and would love to find someone around me who does this -Edible Art Workshops - but it's something crafty for the kids to do with safe products. You might give them a look.

This is just my opinion, but if you were looking for kids/parents themes I would definitely look at Big Yellow Box. </span>I
think that company appeals to both because it offers crafts that
parents can do WITH kids. It doesn't limit your clientale to just women
like jewelry or make up companies. The Stuff a friend is kind of neat
too. I traded a Big Yellow Box consultant for some products at Xmas
time and I was really happy with the items I purchased with my
granddaughter in mind! Plus, you are most likely going to be dealing
with moms that are home with kids and dad is away-thus a craft theme
that mom and child can participate in! Good Luck!

Hi Niki -
There are a ton of wonderful companies out there, for both adults and children! My suggestion would be to find out that interests YOU - not one that you *think* would be profitable. Of course you want your business to be successful and profitable, but if you don't love the business, you will not be nearly as successful as you could be.
Best of luck!
Rebecca

I looked into Big Yellow Box and really liked the concept. I love to do crafty things with my kids. You could do mommy and me days and charge a nominal fee. Perhaps break up the kits so they aren't so expensive for budget minded people.

If your community is really small, you might want to think about selling a consumable product, (food being the ultimate consumable, in my opinion) so that people will host events more frequently. I market wine for the traveling vineyard and I had a hostess have two events in three months, with several of the same attendees, and sales were still good. Also, I have had several people attend more than one of my events in the course of three of four months, which works out fine, because usually the wine they ordered before is gone before they come to the next tasting, and I show different wines at each event, so there is always something new for them.
There are other companies that market consumables like watkins and there I am sure there are others. If the price points are reasonable, people will come back and reorder.
However, Rebecca makes a very important point, if you don't use the product and like the product that you market, you are going to have a hard time getting great sales and you won't have as much fun!
I found my perfect fit, hope you find yours!

There is also another bear stuffing company that will officially launch on March 3-4th.
Stuff-N-Snuggle is free to sign up and you get your own website and can start selling immediately. You earn 10% on your 1st downline of recruits and 30% comission on your website sales. I have found that when I order my own inventory I can make a little more money but it works well either way. I am also a rep with stuff a friend but haven't bought anything yet cuz I find we have a lot more choices and the prices are a little cheaper. I haven't advertised much and have been averaging $140 in sales each week only through friends and family so I'm sure once I really get out there I will be able to make more. My girls already have a list of all the animals they want.
Please feel free to check out my site...

I just wanted to reply to some of the earlier posting. The children's entertainment business can be a very good at home business. I was part of a company that provided numerous themed parties. I just recently quit because my husband got a job in another city and I just found out that I am expecting my sixth child. If anyone is interested in starting their ownchildren's entertainment company and would like so first hand advice, please email me. I also have costumes if anyone is interested.

I own a dress-up tea party business. I am curious about your costumes. What do you have and what are you selling them for. Would you mind sharing what company you worked with? I would love to compare notes with you. I am always interested in new things and how to expand my business. I agree that kids parties is very profitable. I know the ladies on this board doing the stuff a friend and Purple Hippo will agree with me.
