Hi,
That is strange that it bounced back.
Sorry about that.
They do require a first retail order right away. Keep in mind that we purchase at 40% off - so it is $400 worth of food for only $240.
Many consultants purchase 1/2 of the products that they want to try for their family (if they do not sell right away) - the other 1/2 of the products they use for samples and/or cash&carry.
Some new consultants also do a 5-day catalog show to collect $250 in products - and then pick out what they want - vritually for free - to get to $400.
You would remain active until end of February.
We have a GREAT host program in January which would allow consultants to fill their calendar even more. An average home show is about $375-$415.
I hope that helps. I will be on my work # throughout the weekend if you want to give me a call to clarify any questions.
Amy who is also on this site - joined HG 2 years ago in December and she was our #1 consultant in November in our unit.

Please let me know more about HG and their meal plans. What comes in the meal kits and what do you need to add? About how much does a meal cost, kit and fresh add ons, for your family?
Has anyone told you that HG is too expensive? And what do you think about that?

First off, THANK YOU Meredith for being so sweet. I am excited that you found what you were looking for - and I hope to meet you soon.
To Answer Apopkin....
Homemade Gourmet was built on the principle and mission "With Gods Help, Homemade Gourmet brings families back to the dinner table". Our easy to prepare seasonings are super versatile. Many seasonings have close to 100 recipes forone type of seasoning on our website under 'easy recipes'. With over 1000+ recipes combined - it truly is a great way to show families how to make meals.
For example: I am using a pork tenderloin - rubbed it with our Kansas City Rub (BBQ flavor) and put the crockpot on low. Later today, I will shred it and just top with a little extra BBQ sauce that I whip up from the KC rub. Super easy. Yesterday, we had taco burgers using our taco seasoning formed into hamburger patties. We had shrimp scampi using our garlic lemon seasoning sprinkled on shrimp with a pat of butter and water (broiled it).
We teach women (and men) that they CAN have delicious meals in under 30 minutes. Many of our meals can be made for between $1-$3 per per person. I teach women how to buy 'smart' at the grocery store and use our seasonings to provide the flavor they desire.
We do not add MSG to any of our products. We also have an extensive line of gluten free and diabetic friendly products.
My business has been UP this year because I am showing families how to use everyday ingredients to make flavorful meals. Expensive? Well eating out is expensive....but with Homemade Gourmet and the ability to 'on average' feed a family of 6 for $10-$12....I don't think that is expensive.
We have a concept called '4 meals in 4 minutes' in which we demonstrate how to make 4 freezer friendly meals in minutes....the host earns the meals - and they can then choose 3 cooking methods: 1) oven 2) grill or 3) crockpot. The meals are ready to go - and the guesswork of 'what's for dinner' is solved.
Our Pantry Staples (we have almost 20 of them) are larger bulk sizes in which consumers can make an average of 8-15 meals per seasoning bag (keep in mind we have tons of recipe options)...
Add-ins are usually 1-3 items...and very basic ingredients. You can choose to do low-fat, generic etc. and it never takes away the flavor. I always use fresh when I can versus canned - but it depends on the season, availibility, etc.
Our Homemade in a Hurry Collection features over 70 meal options for only $139.50. It contains 4 of our most popular Pantry Staples - and combined can make over 55 meal ideas JUST with those seasonings. The rest of the meals are Season 'n' Steam and Skillet options.
We also have Homemade Gourmet Preferred Dinner Club Program in which we offer a 20% savings to a customer who wants to order minimally 4 times a year. It is FREE to join - and only $50 a quarter.
So, the $139.50 collection is now close to $108 with HG Preferred program discount.
In regards to meal plans - we also feature quarterly recipe magazines.
We also have a 'featured' bundle each month that contains different products. Home Office provides a meal plan with alternative recipes as well as sometims a grocery list. This month - it featured 8 of our new spring/summer products and contained the meal suggestions for 5 days.
I also do personal meal consultations over the phone to give specific options that your family may enjoy (I can find out what you like, types of meats & seafood, methods of cooking, etc - and even provide a grocery list). If that interests you - feel free to let me know.
If I can answer any further questions - please feel free to email me at:

rebeccasmeals

We do both - educate and do tasting of 3-4 items.
We can opt to make 4 meals in the 4 freezer - as part of the demo as a teachable moment.....
Classes to include teaching, tasting, and 4m4m are only about 90 minutes.
I have a link to a newsclip if you would like to see what we do...
If you would like a catalog, feel free to let me know.
