For all those who make candles and have websites - did any of you get an email from them that says they "purchased and tested" your candles and want to list you on their site? The site is here, which actually I looked and it's actually just a part of another site: http://www.warmimpressions.com/SCENT-TESTED/scent-tested.html
I thought it looked like an interesting idea, but there's a few red flags that pop up for me. First off, I can't seem to find any order from them in the past two years as they claimed (I looked under the company name and the owner's name in my records for the past two years and found nothing). Second, they have us listed as having tested our votives, yet we've never sold them.
The general listing (URL only, not 'clickable') is free, but their "full listing" option is $29/mo. It seems a bit steep for a brand new website (I did some digging, and it's not even listed on internet archive yet).
Anyone else hear from them?

I haven't heard of them Kara. I know that this is another site that tests candles. You can send them in or sometimes they buy them. I think there is about 4-5 ladies that do the testing. I agree with you that $29.00 is kinda steep for a new site.
Let us know what you find out:)

Well, I asked for the date and order number, but was told they "order anonymously". My responses were a bit general, so I'm still not sure if I'm comfortable with this or not.
Do you happen to have the site of the others? I really do like the idea of product review sites.
Thanks!

(a little late I know)
We too received this email (and SEVERAL after wanting us to pay to advertise).. and am positive they never ordered from us. What they basically did was choose companies that came up for the keywords "soy candles" and possibly others.. and said we were all "5 star rated". I did NOT place this designation on my site.. they can keep it. I'd rather have legit testimonials!
From what I can tell, it's a scheme to boost the web site links/ratings for their OWN candle company. I mean think about it, if you own a candle company, why would go around buying LOTS of other people soy candles and rate them???
shady if you ask me.
