I don't know if what I'm trying to do is possible, but I'm wanting to put a link into a post and/or my siggy in my site's message boards. I'm trying to put a code into a post (have tried with my siggy too and it doesn't work) which would then turn into a clickable link. The code is one of those provided through an affiliate program that provides a banner or text link. Whenever I try to post it, it just posts the code verbatim instead of turning it into anything clickable. Any ideas on how I might be able to get this to work, or is it not possible in message boards? Thanks!!!!!! smileys/smiley1.gif

in my site's message boards
Sometime the wheels get a little rusty and turn slow lol
have you tried
< a href=" link to the affiliate " > Click Here < / a >
there should be no spaces for the actual code smileys/smiley1.gif

It depends on what type of code you need for your message board. Some use html, some use BBcode.

Yes, my board uses BBcode. I don't know what this is, but does it mean that it won't be compatible?

Sara, I haven't tried what you're referring to but I'll see if I can try it.

Thanks for all your help! I got it to work, but I had to use a different text link than the one I wanted. I had been playing with a couple of text links and banners, but they weren't working. I used a simpler one and got it to work with a few tweaks. Here's what I was trying to do, in case you're curious: http://sahmsnwahms.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=108#108
Thanks again for your help!! smileys/smiley17.gif
