I thought it was against company policy to sell products on your own personal website. If so there is one out there selling the candles, votives, body wash and hand wash. I was surfing the web tonight and came accross the site when searching for "soy bath bars". Whats up with that?

Well it is against company policies to do that. Sometimes a rep may not know and they should be contacted and verefied they are still current....if one of our corporate people see it they will be notifed to remove the products etc from their site. Depending on what you mean selling? Do they have where you add product to cart? Etc?? Just trying to figure out exactly what they have going on?

It is my understanding that you cannot have a shopping cart with a photo on your personal site. You CAN have a link to the corp. site and sell via email or offer to send a catalog and price list. If it is not this way then it is against our policy.Youmay want to email them and give them a heads up.

In a couple months it may not matter - I am hoping the home office is able to offer this for us soon - they are just making the system upgrades now. I can't wait!smileys/smiley32.gifEdited by: lovethiscandle

Yes that will be awesome Deb!!

When i first started out, i designed my first personal site. I had pictures of all my products, but wasnt actually selling with a cart, but had links to my company site. I was told that this wasnt allowed, so i had to totally revamp my site.

There may be alot of newer reps out there that dont know the policy. It may be my suggestion if you come across a site like that to maybe email them and let them know nicely as a courtesy that this is not allowed. if they dont know, i am sure they will thank you.

But yes, Sarah, as a company policy this is not allowed. Also you may see ads on Ebay, sometimes people who leave the company have alot of inventory to get rid of. Company cant do anything about people who are no longer with us.

Yes Sarah, that does happen sometimes with different reps. That is explained in the back office as well as all the policies for this company, but I can tell by some of the questions that come through the groups that there are a lot of reps that do not go and read their back office. I always tell my new recruits to take some time and go to their back office and REALLY read all the info there so they are well aware of the rules that they have for us. That is so important. I go back and check on that info quite often just to stay up to date on everything. I can tell there are some that have never even read it at all. The back office is a great source that is available to us for all the information we need. I would maybe contact that person and be sure they know it isn't allowed. Good luck!
