So this is what I'm going to do...
I plan on making a webpage decided to kids. I'm going to have a
parents guide to my city theme. Listing the schools, public and
private, parks, things to do. I'm going to keep it up to date
with activities for kiddos. I'm also going to list birthday party
ideals and have places that host or do parties. So....the
question is...do you all think this would be ok. I checked and
there aren't any sites like this for my area. I live in a pretty
big city and thought I would sell spaces for ads. How much do you
think I should charge a vendor to place an ad?
Thanks for everyone's help, I have a ton of thoughts running through my
head right now so forgive me if this post doesn't make any sense.

Samantha, I think this is a wonderful idea! I don't know about how much to charge, but the idea of something like this for your community is great. It should be a big hit. Consider putting a message board on there, too, for parents! Good luck! smileys/smiley17.gif

Hi Samantha:
I think that sounds great too! A message board would be great. You
could also have a chat where people can come and visit. You may also
have a blog page where you can post and update all those visiting of
what you've been doing on the site and the changes you've made. Have a
calender with dates for great activities for kids.
Oohh ads -- you could approach party stores so they could advertise their store and products smileys/smiley4.gif
In terms of rates, I think you should start low just because you're
still be working on getting traffic. When your traffic goes up you can
charge more smileys/smiley2.gif I would check to see what other sites like yours are charging (others that aren't in your area).
